Gavin and the others turned and saw Cathy enter the restaurant, clinging to Garvin's arm affectionately.
"And who do we have here?" Garvin asked, feigning surprise.
Cathy chuckled, "This is my cousin, Evelyn, who was just promoted to general manager of the Dynamics Group."
"Oh, really?" Garvin's eyes sparkled with interest as he wore a polite smile and extended his hand to Evelyn. "Hello, I'm Garvin from the Lewis family of New Mexico. My father is Alexander, the deputy general manager of the Skyforge Group. I'm sure you have heard of him, Ms. Reeve."
The Lewis family was well-known in New Mexico, so Garvin assumed everyone would know them. But Evelyn didn't. She glanced at him coolly and said, "Never heard of you."
