"Who is it?" Evelyn asked when Gavin returned.
"It's Chester," Gavin replied calmly.
Evelyn looked surprised. "Why is he here?"
Gavin explained, "When you went to see Charles with the contract, he was the one who kicked you out. Now that you're the general manager, they're worried the project might not go through, so they sent Chester to talk to you."
"Are you really the general manager of Dynamics Group now?" Samantha asked with delight as Alice also beamed at Evelyn.
Evelyn shot Gavin a complicated look before nodding at Samantha and Alice. "I was appointed just before I left work today."
"Why didn't you tell us sooner? I could've made more dishes to celebrate!" Samantha exclaimed, hurrying to the kitchen.
