Being a flight attendant is not the job for everyone, and if you don’t love it for its schedule flexibility, always-interesting personal interactions, and far-flung destinations, you hate it for its long, erratic hours and extended time away from home. It’s all I ever really wanted to do and, as I’d hoped, it has afforded me an opportunity to travel the world and meet people from every background—and to hop in the sack with more than a few foreign men. But the schedule is sometimes a challenge, and I definitely struggle to keep up on my rest. Quite often, if I plan to spend my days off close to home, I’ll go a few days after a trip before I shower, shave, and put myself together. I’m not tucking in my shirt or styling my hair to go do laundry or drink coffee in Katie’s back office, for goo
