Chapter 2: Black Dragons

After we separate outside the garden I never saw him again. He told me he was a transferee, but I don't see him anywhere. I'm pretty sure we're at the same age.
"Cleo! Saan ka galing?"
They greeted me as if I disappeared for weeks.
"Just Somewhere."sabi ko sabay upo sa tabi ni Dave.
"Somewhere... Over the rainbow?"Singit ni kuya Daniel.
He's the oldest member and the most corniest, as you can see. Tumahimik kaming lahat.
"Sa garden ba? Sama mo naman kami minsan don!"sabi ni Zeus.
Iniba ni Zeus ang topic so kuya Daniel has the longest face again for the second time today. Zeus played with his pen and sometimes biting it. Girls who's staring at him was restraining theirselves kasi kinikilig sila.
"Oo nga! Para kasing ang ganda ng pagkadescribe mo sa gubat na yun eh."Dagdag naman ni Gabby. Gabby has the most slow mind in the band.
"Hindi yon gubat! Garden yun."sabi ni john.
Someday, I'll bring them there. There's just something weird in that garden that I have to figure out before letting them in.
"Oo nga! Ang bobo talga nitong si Daniel."sabi naman ni Zeus kay Gabby.
"Ingay nyo mga gunggong."sabi ni dave at tinuro turo pa silang apat .
"Tama na! We need to practice for our gig later."
Yes may gig kami. Tuwing gabi nga lang. Payag naman sila mama. They even bought a van for the band and yung driver? Siya ang mismong naghanap para daw safe kami. Lead vocalist ako ng banda, Si Gabby yung drummer namin, Daniel is our bassist, Si Dave sa piano, Si kuya Daniel sa Lead guitar and lastly si Zeus rhythm guitar.
Papunta na kami sa bar kung saan kami madalas tumutugtog.
"We're here!"sigaw ni Zeus.
"Yes!"
I snaked my arms around Zeus Arms. Wala kasi kaming alam sa mga pinagkwekwentuhan nila. We're innocent! Just kidding. Well si Zeus kung hindi ko siya kinapitan ay nakipag usap na rin siya kila kuya Daniel. You know... boys will be boys.
We went to the backstage.
I stiffened a bit when I saw a shadow passed, but there's no person in there! May moomoo ba dito?
"Zeus I feel like someone's with us, Someone we can't see."sabi ko.
Lumaki ang mata nya at hinawakan rin yung braso ko. Mukhang nagkamali ata ako ng kinapitan.
"Anyare sainyo?"tanong ng apat samin ni Zeus.
"May moomoo daw!"natatakot na sabi ni Zeus habang nakakapit kami sa braso ng isa't isa.
"M-Meron! Nakita ko may anino!"sabi ko sabay humawak sa braso ni kuya Daniel.
"Shh...Walang moomoo dito. Ang tagal tagal na natin tumutugtog dito matatakot ka pa ba?"sabi ni kuya Daniel.
Ginulo niya ang buhok ko at tumawa. Ughh! When will he stop doing that?! Good thing I still haven't styled my hair.
After an hour of preparing and waiting tinawag na ang pangalan ng banda namin.
"Let's give a round of applause to the most famous band in the town, Black Dragons!"Naghiyawan sila. Lumabas na kami at pumwesto.
We have regular audience, most of them are from our school pero madami din naman ang galing sa ibang school. We're more popular to highschool students, pero sometimes we attract adults because of the boys.

I talk a lot of s**t when I'm drinking, baby, I'm known to go a little too fast.
Don't mind all my friends i know they're all crazy but that's the only friends that i have.
habang kumakanta ako I saw a familiar person.

I stopped singing, It's Dane. The guy I met at the secret garden.
Umingay ang mga tao dahil sa pagtigil ko. I can't take my eyes off him and I don't even remember the next lyrics.
"Dane."I whispered to myself
"Who's Dane?"They asked.
"H-Huh? I didn't say anything."
"Look Cleo, This is not the right time space out."bulong ni John.
Tumango ako. I know we should be professional. They started playing in the chorus part and when I moved my gaze where I saw Dane a while ago, he wasn't there anymore.
We finished the gig but my mind is somewhere else. That guy... makes me feel anxious.
"You look stressed. Mauna kana sa van we'll take care of the rest."Gabby said.
"I can carry my guitar. It's not that heavy."I said and carried my guitar.
They wanted to steal it from me but I ran away and they're left with no choice. It's not even that heavy even though my case is made of wood. It's been fifteen minutes pero wala parin sila.
Ugh! I'm bored already!
I went outside to check them out. Halos wala nang tao sa parking lot. Yung driver din wala I don't know where he is, Maybe he helped the boys to carry things.
Nanliit ang mga mata ko nang may nakita akong naglalakad sa malayo.
"Dane?"
He turned around and faced me. His green eyes become so deep and serious. Not the usual cold and chill look he gave me when we first met.
"Why're you here?"
He's not answering me. He's just staring like he heard nothing. What's wrong with him?
"I didn't saw you at school. Are you really a transferee?"
He was about to say something but Zeus called my name.
"Cleo!"
"diba sabi ko sayo sa van ka nalang maghintay?"sabay sabay nilang sabi .
"I went outside to check you up, Then I saw him."I turned around and pointed... He's gone.
"But wala kang kausap? Nakita ka namin kinakausap mo sarili mo."
Now this gives me goosebumps. What the hell? I swear I saw Dane! He was about to talk to me, but Zeus interrupted!
"What if you saw the ghost you felt backstage?"Zeus said and slowly hold my arms.
Hindi ko alam kung lalaki ba 'to o babae eh. He's more coward than me. I removed my arms from his hands.
"Maybe you're stress Cleo. We'll let you sleep in the van."kuya Daniel said.
We went inside the van and then they fixed my foldable mattress. Maybe I was just hallucinating. He's been on my mind and I just can't forget him and his face. Who are you really, Dane?
It didn't took long for us to arrive in my house.
"Cleo,"mom said.
I dropped the bag that I'm carrying. Where's my guitar? Why is he here?
