We pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant. It had only been a couple days since we were last there, but it felt like a week or more. So many things had happened since we left Boise the first time. After getting out of the car, the girls started bouncing at the scent of food. I couldn’t imagine how hungry they were. Their little bodies were trying to make up for years without proper meals. Clara and Kellan took their hands and we headed in. There was a little bit of a line, but the girls were so adorably patient. An older woman complimented Kellan and Clara on how well behaved their daughters were. They just smiled and thanked her. We paid for our meals and went to pull some tables together. We had gotten there before everyone else. I was grateful for that. It was a power move
