[Livy] A little over an hour and a half later, we were pulling off the freeway at the second exit to Baker City. Oliver went to pump gas while Clara and I headed into the station to grab snacks and use the facilities. He said he was glad they’d changed the laws about pumping your own gas in rural areas. Oliver didn’t feel comfortable about the idea of sitting in his car while an attendant did it. Soon, we were all back in the car and headed to California. The scenery changed from high desert to mountains. It was different landscape than I was used to, but I loved it all.
