Toby: My brain was swarmed by how Sophia felt Elias wasn't safe around Logan, around the man I considered my best friend. Those thoughts were what pushed me through the bus, through the insanity that fogged over my brain like a virus eroding my prefrontal cortex. It took me seconds to reach the front where Logan and Stanley were, sitting, laughing together like they were the best of friends.
