Chapter 2: Warning!

Richard sighed as he was sat in his military office with Harper and Edward. They had been sent to protect Riverswell boarder against Thule. So far, there had only been a few skirmishes, but it was only a matter of time until Thule tried to get through the mountain pass. There had also been rumours of Thule making dangerous allies.

“Could be worst Richard, we could be outside!” Edward pointed out as he warmed himself by the fire. It was true, they had been blessed with bad weather in the mountains which had stopped any major attack. It is almost if the Sun God was looking after them. Still it was bitterly cold in the old mountain fortress.

“Of course you are right and we are lucky we have the Elemental Guard with us. They have been invaluable!” Harper said softly.

Suddenly all three of them heard shouting “You can’t just go in there sir! They are having a meeting!”

“Meeting? Don’t make me laugh! Besides I need to see Richard and I suggest you let me through!” A familiar voice said as the door opened and Lux walked in with a harassed looking squire after him.

“I am sorry Generals, please accept my apologies!” The squire, who look to be about 17 said.

“It is OK Lenny, we know this thunderhead. The question is why is he here and not guarding my reason for existence?!” Richard snapped.

“You best go lad, thus could get too messy for young eyes” Edward said stroking his chin. Lenny bowed and quickly exited the room.

“That is a nice welcome!” Lux said 

Richard’s eyes went black as his demon Amon took over and said “Report Loki, now!”

Lux sighed as he could feel his own Demon bowing to Amon’s Aura. 

“Keep telling you not to mess around when it comes to Jamie. Though it is nice to see you my friend” Harper chided. Amon/Richard growled.

“OK! Calm down Amon! Jamie is fine, she is being looked after by Dion” Lux said

“So why are you here?” Edward asked

“We have a issue, Raoul is using a chaos Dream Walker to ...well..to hurt Princess” Lux said

“What!?! You suppose to be protecting her!” Amon/Richard roared as his skin turned black as Amon was fully taking over. The air suddenly became heavy, as Amon was literally sucking the life force of the area.

“Calm down! I am sure Lux has a plan, he is a Dream Walker after all!” Edward shouted 

“I do indeed” Lux said with a smirk.

“You just need to go to sleep as normal Jamie, we will do the rest!” Dion said as he cast a magic circle around them. Jamie was laid on a single bed, with Fluff curled up on her pillow next to her.

“I don’t want to sleep though!” Jamie said, she  knew what was waiting for her. Fluff got up and sat on Jamie’s chest and started to purr comfortingly.

“Go to sleep, let the people who care about you sort this” Fluff mind-linked.

“I don’t want the people I care about  to be put in any danger” Jamie said sleepily. Fluff’s purring always made her relax and she fell slowly asleep.

Jamie knew she was back in the Dream Realm as her sight was back. She was in a large dinning hall of some sort that was in ruin. She looked up to to see the roof was missing and she the moon and stars.

“Hello! How I have missed you!” Jamie said with a tear in her eyes. Her happiness was short lived however as she heard a familiar voice.

“Well how nice it is to hear you say you miss me Kitten” Raoul said.

“Raoul!” Jamie hissed as he stepped out of the shadows. Raoul brown hair was longer and unkept, but his once blue eyes were now lime green and cold.

“Did you expect anyone else?” Raoul said. Jamie turned her heels and started to run, but she found her feet sinking into the floor.

“No!” Jamie said fearfully 

“Oh Kitten, you are slow to learn on this one. You can’t escape me in this realm or the mortal one” Raoul said.

“Why are you doing this?” Jamie shouted. She tried to use her powers, but as per normal nothing happened This was his world and she had no power in it.

“Oh Jamie, because you are my mate. I saw you first and as your Alpha I get to do what I want with you” Raoul said.

“We are not mated any! The Moon Goddess herself broke it!” Jamie said as Raoul grabbed her by the neck.

“There is more then one Goddess, kitten. Now chose, do you want me to feed off your mate Mark or not?” Raoul said a cruel smile as he traced her lips with his finger.

“You know my answer, I will never let you cause pain to my Mates!” Jamie snapped

“Are you sure? By feeding from your mate Mark it will half your suffering” Raoul said as his canines started to grow.

“Shove your fake concern up your arse!” Jamie snapped and Raoul slapped her hard. Before pulling her hair to expose her neck and shoulder. He bit down hard on her shoulder and started to drink her blood.

Jamie felt her life force being drained and she said “I will never betray my mates, you will never hurt them or steal their life force you Bastard!”

Raoul stopped drinking and looked up, blood was dripping from the corners of his mouth. 

“I know, that is what is making this all the more enjoyable! I ask you again, because I know you are very weak now.” Raoul said

“I will never betray them! I would rather die first!” Jamie said weakly.

“As would we!” A voice boomed. Amon shimmered in with Loki, both looking ready for a fight as waves of power were emanating from them. 

“Amon! Loki! Run!” Jamie shouted leading Raoul to s***h her across the chest with his clawed hands. Blood spurted as she fell to her knees.

“How dare you touch our Mate?” Amon boomed

“So you are her demon mate? I must say I expected more!” Raoul snarled

“How dare you insult him?”  Loki shouted moving forward to attack.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you!” Raoul said as kicked Jamie to the ground and put his boot on the side of her face.

“Jamie!” Amon shouted and Loki growled as he flicked his hand. Raoul felt a force pull him and he went flying into a wall. Jamie then felt herself been pulled towards Loki, but was stopped half way.

“Ah so you are the Dream Walker! You should know then that this is my world!” Raoul said as Jamie started to slide toward him. Amon ran foward and grabbed Jamie’s hands stopping her sliding.

“I have got you Princess!” Amon said. But the floor under him suddenly disappeared and he started to fall. He was stopped by Jamie holding on to his hands. Amon tried to fly, but it was not working.

“Isn’t this sweet? The slut is hanging on to dear life to her Demon” Raoul said. Jamie suddenly felt her leg shattered and she screamed out in pain.

“Shall we see how long she can hang on for?” Raoul said as Jamie felt something whipping her back.

“Ahhh!” Jamie screamed as she felt her flesh been torn away.

“Drop him now and I will forgive you kitten. You and I can rule together in Thule, it is our destiny!” Raoul declared 

“LOKI!” Amon screamed but Loki was trying to break free from the chains that were tying him. He had the added problem of the floor turning into quick sand.

“I will never let him go!” Jamie screamed as her whipping continued.

“Oh you will! Everyone has their limit Kitten!” Raoul said as he made the lashings harder.

“Let me go Princess, I can’t stand you being hurt!” Amon said.

“No! No! NO!” Jamie screamed as her eyes suddenly glowed purple. “I call to my Elements now! Help me save my mate!”

“We are finally here! You have broke the barrier!” The Elements  said in unison. Balls of energy rushed around happily. 

“Save Loki and Amon now!” Jamie ordered. Instantly Amon felt Air lift him up and Earth putting ground beneath his feet. Loki was similarly lifted up, as fire melted the chains allowing to break them.

“Elements do what you must to protect them” Jamie said gasping and closing her eyes. She felt beyond exhausted.

“How?” Raoul said as he Dodged a black energy fireball thrown by Amon.

“Because she is my Nice you flea bitten dog” a male voice that sounded like a mixture of the night sky and a dark void. A man pale as the moon, with black hair in a long black robe appeared. He was almost translucent and his eyes were completely white.

“It is as I said Niorun, the Empress’s allies have broken your laws and using your realm to attack your Nice”  Fluff mind linked everyone.

“As I can see, no mere mortal could creat a mini world within my realm. This is the second transgression your Empress has made in my Realm and it will be the last. I have always remained neutral in these wars, as fear creates just as rich dreams as peace. However, my neutrality is being tested of late!” Niorun boomed.

“Indeed” Fluff said as he sat down licking a paw.

Niorun glared at Raoul and snapped “You will send a warning to your Empress if any of her followers set foot in my realm again I will let my Night Mares consume their minds and souls. I also don’t want to see her for at least a millennium!” With that Raoul dispersed into thin air.

“Jamie!” Amon said running over and turning her over. There was a large pool of blood on the ground and she was unresponsive. Loki came over and tried to cast a healing spell.

“I had heard my Nice was mated to a hybrid demon” Niorun said as he walked over to investigate. The balls of energy that were Jamie’s elements flew around him excited.

“Niorun! We like you! We missed you!” They all said excitedly.

“As I have you little ones! I remember when my Nice first called you on her 1st Birthday. You done well in protecting my her” Niorun said with a chuckle.

“She not responding” Loki said panicked.

“She has been drained of her life force over a long period of time. I can replace some of it, but she will need time for it to be fully restored. Volcanic thermal pools would help speed up  the process” Niorun said as he help his hand. A silver shimmer surrounded Jamie’s body and she started to stir.

“Interesting” Niorun said frowning

“What is it Niorun?” Fluff said 

“There are a couple of things I can’t heal....it is her destiny to heal these on her own” Niorun grumped.

“She will, she is strong and intelligent ” Amon said pulling Jamie into his arms.

“Thank you Niorun for allowing us into your Realm” Loki said respectfully bowing his head.

“Ahh well you know it is not your Demon side that is the Dream Walker, but your human? Lux’s Mother was a faithful follower, so I blessed her son with my gifts” Niorun said

“I did not, but Lux says thank you” Loki said feeling embarrassed.

“Amon?” Jamie murmured

“I can see my Nice truly loves you, her dream powers would not have awakened if you had not been in danger” Niorun said with a smile.

“I know and we love her” Amon said firmly.

“Good. Right it is all time to go now, you caused enough disturbance in my Realm! Loki I say goodbye, I want to give my Nice a little gift” Niorun said and Loki bowed before disappearing with Fluff.

“What is the gift?” Amon asked

Niorun clapped his hands and they were suddenly in an idyllic wild flower field.

“I give you the most precious gift I can, time with her mates. Eric will be along in an hour or so, of course time will move slowly here of course!” Niorun said

“Thank you” Amon said touched.

“Enjoy your time! You all earned it” Niorun said fading away.

“Amon?! You are Ok! I missed you so much!” Jamie said pouncing on him.

“We missed you too Princess!” Amon said with a chuckle.
