Chapter Four When the discussion group met again, they saw an empty chair where Tam usually sat. She knelt demurely at Jana’s feet instead. The women looked to one another, sharing unspoken questions, until Jana called the meeting to order. “I believe that we were planning to discuss our relationships with our mothers tonight,” she said.
