Once he removed his hand from my head, Nefarious got out of bed and pulled on the cord to summon the servants. “Why? I thought men liked skinny women?”
“Some like skinny women, however, you are a bag of bones, darling.” Hearing him call me darling again caused my cheeks to flush. How could he call me that so easily? “Besides, I would prefer a healthy wife over a skinny one any day. You need your strength not just for the fight for the throne but to be a queen in the Kingdom of Darkness.” Maybe he had a point? I mean, I couldn’t even get away from him when he was sound asleep.
The servants walked in after knocking on the door and Nef instructed them to bathe me first. I went into the bathroom with my lady-in-waiting and another servant who filled up the tub and undressed me.
