Operation Killjoy

So, Dadoy went out to buy a bottle of gin, some pineapple juice, and ice. We decided to set up camp in the kitchen. When we got back, he was already trying to make a move on Jeric. Dadoy had his eyes on Kate, but I kept my mouth shut. "Nikki, I'm watching you, okay? We'll stay here in the kitchen with Tomas. You guys go ahead and drink out there," Dadoy said loudly, trying to sound all tough. "Arcy, I'm Dadoy. I've been friends with your brother since high school!" He shook my brother's hand. We set up in the kitchen. It turned out to be a great spot because everyone had to pass by us to go to the restroom. "Hey, Angela," I said to Dadoy when she first passed by to go to the restroom. "Angela. Have a drink first," Dadoy said, like a checkpoint guard. Angela took the drink. "Wow, you poured a lot, bro!" "Wish you didn’t finish it, so we could share!" Next up was Kate. "Kate, this is Dadoy, my high school buddy," I introduced them casually, like nothing ever happened between us. "Kate, have a drink!" Dadoy offered, but she gestured 'no' and went straight to the restroom. "Dude, she's got big... uh, assets! Is her name Kate?" I was a bit offended by his comment but kept it to myself. When she came out, Dadoy offered again. "Bro, I don't drink." "Kate’s a bit snobby," Dadoy said after she walked away. "That’s Lorraine, dude..." I corrected him. "Are you Lorraine?" I asked her. Lorraine was fair-skinned, sweet, with a few pimples on her face. But she was pretty. Probably just going through puberty. Dadoy offered her a drink, and she accepted. Then came Jessica. Slim, petite, with a morena complexion, and a bit of an exotic look. She also took a drink when Dadoy offered. "Dude, we need to get more," Dadoy was getting more excited to drink. I hadn’t planned on drinking that night. We got Jessica, Lorraine, and Angela to drink. Every time they went to the restroom, it was the same routine. Until we hit a snag. "Dude, stop making my friends drink," Jeric said. "Why, is there a problem with that?" Dadoy replied, sounding macho. "Tell me what the problem is," Dadoy pressed on. "They're my friends," Jeric insisted. "Yeah, they're your friends... so what if they drink? I offered, they drank... What's the problem? Are you their dad?" Jeric couldn’t respond and went back to where his group was. "Dude, hype it up. Let’s get rid of that jerk," Dadoy said to me. I was tipsy too, so I had the guts to confront them. I went over to Jeric's group. "Dude, if you're drunk, just go home. You're making a big deal out of nothing." "Your friend here is bothering my friends," Jeric retorted. "They're just your friends. Let them drink if they want. You're just hanging out here." "Lorraine... if you still want to drink, go ahead," I said, addressing all the girls but specifically mentioning Lorraine. "Dude, just go home. You’re drunk, and you can’t handle yourself," I continued my rant. "Dude, get your friend out of here. He's drunk." "You guys, just stay there... rest up before you go home." My brother couldn’t say a word as I pretended to be drunk and ranted. Dadoy chimed in, "Yeah, dude, just go home. You're drunk." We managed to get Jeric to leave. He tried to take Kate with him, but she didn’t go. When my brother tried to escort him out, Jeric refused to be accompanied. My brother came back inside after just stepping out the door. Soon, we were all gathered in the kitchen. Dadoy, Angela, Jessica, Lorraine, Kate, Nikki, and my brother. I started asking my brother about Jeric. "He said he's a 'starter'... TST, that's why he hung out with us, to protect us. We were the only ones who knew each other, then Jeric suddenly joined us. He likes Kate," my brother explained. "You should’ve told me," I said. "You should always tell your brother, Arcy, about these things. You’re siblings, you should share your problems," Dadoy advised. "That's why I told you, didn’t I? He’s courting Kate," my brother brought up again. "So what if he’s courting Kate? Is Jeric tough enough for you to warn me like that?" I questioned. "Who is this Jeric, anyway? Maybe he’s just a snot-nosed gangster," Dadoy added. "Starter of Temple Street," Kate interjected. "Ha ha ha!!! What’s Temple Street, TST? Son of seven snot-nosed gangsters??? Ha ha ha," Dadoy laughed. It was supposed to be "son of seven hunchbacks," meaning seven bullets of a revolver. "It’s nothing! Don’t believe that stuff! TST has been gone for a long time. Just a bunch of snot-nosed kids borrowing courage from the tribe’s name!" Dadoy emphasized. Dadoy explained to my brother and his friends not to believe such introductions from those kinds of people. They were supposedly going to be part of TST and didn’t need to go through initiation if they always hung out together. Damn... it was all a scam. Jeric just wanted to get close to Kate and she was his target.
