Alpha's dangerous Mate

Chapter 8

Roderick

"Smiling now, are we?" Zane teased me while I just glared at him before knocking on the door decisively. A look of surprise appeared on his face but I just ignored him and waited for someone to come out.

And a few seconds later, the door was opened by Victoria, her mother.

The smile on her face vanished instantly as she got a glimpse of my face.

"Alpha, what brought you here?" She asked, a bewildered look on her face. "You should've sent for us and we'll be there in seconds" She added, with fear prominent in her eyes.

I flashed her a reassuring smile to make her calm. "It's okay, Mrs. Bane. Please don't be afraid. Can I come in?"

"Yes, of course Alpha" she said while bowing her head to me. She opened the door wider and asked me to come in at once. And I did with my beta behind me.

"Mrs. Bane, please I'm here to see my mate" I went straight to the point. I don't want to wait anymore.

"A-Alpha?" She stuttered with her mouth open. She was dumbfounded and confused as she found it difficult to comprehend what I have just said.

It's obvious that her daughter didn't tell her about we being mate.

"Alice is my mate, Mrs, Bane" I broke the news to her with a smile on my face. I guess she's even more shocked to see me smiling as I haven't being doing that ever since my parents died.

"Oh my goodness" She squealed excitedly as she stood up immediately and rushed up the stairs.

"You're so fast" Zane mind linked me while I just rolled my eyes at him. He had found his mate two months ago, and I know how happy and more fast-forward he was more than me.

Few seconds later, I saw my mate descending down the stairs like an angel. My Luna. She was putting on a black short gown that stopped above her knee, her red hair tied up in a messy bun. And her eyes looks like she has been sleeping.

She looks so beautiful and dazzling, my eyes traced her curves and exposed fresh laps, making me want to run not just my hands but my tongue on the whole of her body. I just felt like pulling her into my arms while I ravish her lips that had tasted better than anything in the world. I just wanted to take her and lock her where no other eyes except mine will see her.

My wolf was purring in content and excitement in my head. He liked my thoughts towards our mate.

And as I thought about this, I saw myself getting hard. And the fact that I can't touch or have her yet, annoyed me and I just wish to pull her close and take in her soothing scent to calm us down. But all this were just a mere wish as our mate was still rejecting us

My smile crumbled as I caught a glimpse of her angry expression. She doesn't want to see me. Our eyes collided and lingered for a splitting seconds before she glare daggers at me and averted her gaze. I felt a sharp pain in my heart immediately.

Why is she acting this way?

"I have told you not to show up before me again, what are you doing here?" She barked furiously and my body stiffened.

"Alice, you don't talk to Alpha that way. Where is your manners?" Her mother cautioned her. "Alpha, please pardon her. She doesn't know what she is doing"

"You don't talk to our Alpha that way" Zane cautioned in a subtle voice, he knows that he can't be harsh to her with his voice even though he was obviously pissed that she doesn't address me with respect. I will snap his head off if he does that. And on the other hand, he was showing respect to his Luna. But what his respect got him was only a scathing glare from my mate.

Urghhh..... She's too fierce.

I sighed to myself and just stared at her speechlessly. I was busy admiring her courage and audacity. No one has ever talked to me in such manner without getting ripped into two. Yet, here was my mate who has totally gone insane and I'm here admiring her even more.

I guess being mates makes you more vulnerable and more happy than the bird in the sky. I feel like I'm flying in the sky even with her constant rejection. She doesn't have it in mind to reject me though, something is really wrong somewhere. That I can feel, but I don't know how to pinpoint it. Or is she possessed by a demon?

That's probable too! My wolf supplied the answer in my head while I suddenly began to laugh.

I'm beginning to love my mate already and I can't wait to have her beside me forever. I can't wait to mate and mark her as mine, she will look so good with our pups in her belly.

Thinking about that already? Jimmy asked me while I rolled my eyes at him.

"Leave us" I said using my Alpha voice. And at once, my mate's mother and my beta evacuated the space, leaving just me and Alice in the room.

"Hi mate" I said to her once again with a smile and of course, I got nothing but a glare from her.

Her eyes widened in shock which was very confusing, she just hissed in annoyance and lazily head over to a sofa and sat down. Not being able to control myself because of her rare attitude, I shamelessly and decisively walked over and sat beside her with my eyes fixed on her

After leaving that office, I called Mason to come and pick me up. He grumbled of course, but he knew that he doesn't have an option. I think he is probably afraid of me voicing out all his wrong deeds towards his sister to his mother. Whatever it maybe, I don't give a damn because when he disobeys me, I will personally kill him with my bare hands. I don't have to report him to anybody.

After we came back, I quickly went to my room to take a good nap. I felt so tired and exhausted because of that mysterious boss. I mean, how dare he try to molest me like those men from my passed life?

I only let him go because it was just a kiss. That slap was just to warn him, the next time he shows up to me, I will mercilessly deal with him.

I was enjoying my good sleep, dreaming about my parents like I had always done in my previous life while I was suffering, when a sudden knock on my door woke me up. I turned to the other side, facing the wall, as I decided to continue my beauty sleep when the door was suddenly pushed open with a disturbing creak sound.

I silently hissed and pretended to be fast asleep. Can't I have a moment of peace in this damn body?

"Alice, just wake up already. I know you can feel him. Why are you still pretending to be asleep? Why didn't you tell me that you've found your mate? Was that the reason why you had returned so early?" My so called mother bombarded me with so many questions that I didn't know where to start from to reply her.

I just yawned lazily, rolled onto my back and stared at her wordlessly. I have no comments at all. First, this woman might be the mother of my new body, but she is still a total stranger to me. She shouldn't be that nice to me.

She climbed onto the bed and started dragging me out from the bed. "Just come down already, Alice. Alpha Roderick is waiting for you down stairs. I know you're overwhelmed by the fact that you found your mate so late, and he also turns out to be your mate. But don't worry, you will get used to it. He is all the happiness that you need, the two of you will explore them together"

I didn't say anything as I allowed her to drag me down from the bed. I stood on my two legs naked before her and she was momentarily dumbfounded, before covering her face. Before my death, I was used to always being naked as we were always naked in the house where we were being kept.

"Put a dress on immediately , Alice" She said in a scolding voice while I just laughed. That's for disturbing my beauty sleep because of your stupid alpha. I rolled my eyes inwardly.

Ignored her and quickly looked for a simple dress to wear. And I must confess that the dress looked so good and beautiful on my curvy body. My hair was flying around my body body in a messy way, so, I just quickly tied it up in a bun and left the room with my new Mom.

The smile on my face quickly vanished the moment I got a glimpse of his face and I frowned furiously. What's he doing here? I cringed when I saw his lust filled eyes roaming my body.

What is his problem?

"I have told you not to show up before me again, what are you doing here?" I barked angrily and like before, I saw hurt flicker in his eyes. But I don't care. As far as I'm concerned, all men are the same and perhaps, they were born to pretend and deceive women. But I can't tolerate that, perhaps, this man wants to die in my hands.

I got cautioned instantly by my new mother, who I'm still trying to figure out her name by the way. I can't keep calling her mother because she can never be my mother. Where was she when her son had killed her daughter?

She doesn't deserve to be a mother.

Then, the man who had come with the alpha or whatever he is, scolded me in a subtle and respectful voice. But all I did was bestow him a frightening glare.

"Leave us" The Roderick guy said with a commanding voice that had a great power, It had me almost shaking but I endured it. If he wants fight, then we will fight till death. He can't come and start commanding me for nothing.

However, I was surprising when my mom and the other guy bowed their heads at once and quickly fled from the room.

What the hell?

Is he a king or something?

I caught his eyes following me as I walked over to a sofa and sat down. And he also did the same shamelessly, sitting beside me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked angrily.

"I'm here to see you, mate" He said. "I can't stay faraway from you, it pains" He said. His voice sounded sincere but I just couldn't trust his voice when I can't open his head and heart to know if he was lying or not. Even if he is telling the truth, I still can't trust men. And even if I feel anything for him, yet if he wants me to be his partner, I can't!

I needed to get the meaning of mate straight, so I looked at him and asked with the most sincere voice I could muster.

"What is a mate?"

"Did something happen to you, Alice. Tell me the truth and I will listen. You need help if you don't know what mate is and I'm here for you, baby" He said.

And I fled up in anger. The word baby angered me the most.

"Just get out of here when you're done and don't think of coming here ever again" I said, as I got up and headed towards the stairs.

"Stop right there, Alice" He growled at me, making that weird sound once again. His voice carried a powerful authority which sent shivers down my spine. But I closed my eyes, shutting myself momentarily as his echoing power just passed like useless storm.

I turned to face him, my eyes red with anger. "What do you want? Do you want to fight?" I asked him as I rolled my grown up and unstrapped a pair of sharp knives. One was the silver one that was stuck in my chest when I had woken up. I had a piece of clothing tied around the hilt because it was burning my hand for some unknown reason.

I saw confusion flickered in his gray orbs but didn't give a damn as I positioned myself, ready for battle. I know that I don't have a gun here yet, but I promise to design him or even kill him with these knives. If he doubts me, let him try me!
