Elli’s Point of View
I just look at Kuya Nico. I don’t know what to say to him. I have my parents, but why he’s saying now that he was supposed to be my father? What is his connection to my parents? To me?
I open my mouth again to ask him, but Mang Rene gets our attention.
“Mas maganda siguro kung maghanap na tayo muna ng sasakyan natin pabalik sa kampo,” he said while looking around.
“Elli.” Ate Alona calls me to drag me. Buti na lang ay ginawa niya ‘yon kasi pakiramdam ko hindi na ako makahinga sa sobrang lakas ng pagkabog ng dibdib ko. “Are you okay?” she asked worriedly.
I nodded. “W-What does Kuya Nico mean, Ate?” my voice quivered.
“I don’t know, Elli.” She rubs my arms, trying to comfort me.
I looked at Kuya Nico again, who’s helping the others. They are looking at the car
