BRIAR’S POV
I cross my fingers tightly until we successfully pass through the castle gates and into the main city below.
Eli offers the guard his signature charming smile before speeding down the road, likely before the guard can change his mind.
The man had been glaring at me and casting suspicious glances at Eli, probably due to Eli’s usual antics of sneaking women in and out of Tavian’s domain.
All it took was a pass card allowing Eli to take me outside.
I watch as Eli shoves it into his pocket, humming a tune to himself before his eyes meet mine almost like magnets. He easily reads my expression, offering a small smile.
“The Alpha or Luna has to stamp one of these before someone like you can leave the castle,” he explains without me needing to ask.
