THE LIGHTS MOVED to the rhythm of the music. People around me were jumping and dancing and they were all having fun. While I was there, overwhelmed by the crowd while nursing a pain in my heart.
Never would I have thought that I’d end the night like this.
Despite feeling heavy, the loud music and the cheers of the crowd lifted my spirit. I found a spot that wasn’t so close to other people, and right there, I started to sing along with the music.
Some people like to go to the bar to drink and unwind. But me? I believe I have a different purpose tonight—to be free.
As the loud upbeat music changed, the lights turned from yellow to blue, to red, all happened in just a few seconds. A sultry music started playing in the background.
I saw a few men looking at me from a distance.
