Bolt was no more crazy about going back to the Universal Castle with Sigil than Beams was. But Bolt had also just seen Sigil literally tear apart a cyborg who had nearly killed Bolt and Beams by himself. Bolt was no coward and, in fact, could be a little too impulsive at times, but even he knew when and how to pick and choose his fights.
They reappeared in the courtyard of the Universal Castle a few minutes later. Bolt noticed that the gates to the Universal Castle—which were normally open until curfew—were now closed and a couple of Aeno’s Warriors stood on either side of the gates, gripping wicked-looking spears in their hands.
