4- new boy

Rose pov I was right. It's been a week since the new boy transferred in and all the popular kids ate him up. They approached him and swept him away. But that's none of my business. I close my locker and head towards the lunch room. Ah, lunch, my favorite part of the day, where I get to sit in the corner, on the ground and read. I get in the lunch line, collect my food and head for my spot. "Rose!" I hear someone shout. Huh? Must not be me. I continue walking to my spot and get seated against the wall. I pull out my book, City of Bones. I've read it before but I just love it. I begin to open my book when I feel a shadow over me. I look up and see Ryder, towering over me. "Didn't you hear me calling you?" He asks. Huh? Me? Oh no. Not this. "What do you want?" I ask. "You." He smirks. "Ha ha very funny, now for real, what do you want?" I'm starting to get irradiated. "Remember a week ago when you insulted me. Yeah, I thought I'd take you out for some payback." What? How does that even make sense? "Leave me alone." "Really, I'm serious, I want you to meet my friends." He looks at me sincerely. "Nope." I respond. This guy must be crazy, why would I go anywhere with him? "Ok, I'll see you around then." He says with a smirk on. "Not really but bye." I say, turning my attention back to my book. What is wrong with some boys? Ryders pov She's so cute under her glasses and her personality excites me. I look at her sitting on the ground, in the corner, where we just spoke. She seems to distance herself from people on purpose, and those glasses aren't prescription. What is she hiding from? Who is she hiding from? "Ryder!" I hear someone from the table shout. What an annoying voice. "Yes?" I turn and see Ashley. "I've been talking to you for the past 5 minutes, did you space out?" She asks in her high-pitched voice. "Yeah." I guess I did. "So why were you talking to that disgrace of a human being anyway?" Who? "Who do you mean?" I ask, hoping it's not who I think she's talking about. "Rose, duh, she's so anti-social and ugly. I mean look at her-."I cut her off. "Shut the f**k up." This is why Rose is so anti-everyone. "I gotta go." I turn, get up from the lunch table, and leave. I don't have the time or energy for girls like Ashley. Rose's so much more collected and worthy. I want to introduce her to my gang. I'm sure they'll love her. She's careful and has an attitude. Perfect for me and the boys. But mostly for me, though. With her by my side, the gang would be stronger. And she could entertain me, as our Queen. I think of how I could get Rose to come with me to meet my gang. Wait, I'm the leader of the most dangerous gang in the world. I don't have to ask her. I smirk, walking out of the school, and getting into my car. I flip out my phone and call, Luke, my most trusted member, and best friend. "Yea, boss man?" He asks. "Get the boys at my place, I found her." 4- new boy
