Chapter 16Beck was dozing with his head resting on Troy’s chest, a small line of drool forming a puddle on Troy’s T-shirt. The TV was showing a commercial with a ridiculously cheerful woman extolling the virtues of some computer program or other. Troy yawned, his head drooping. He was about to reach for the remote when his cell dinged with an incoming text. The tone indicated the message was from one of his students. Fearing Mark had set something on fire, Troy slid the phone out of his pocket and unlocked it. To his surprise, the message was from Steve.
