"I THINK you should practice calling me using my first name from now on."
Keira saw the young man's eyes are glistening when she looked up to him. "B-But sir?" she protested.
"You will get used to it anyway. I am allowing you to call me sir when we are at work when there are other people aside from you and me. But if for example, we are here in your house, or we are dining out or inside the movie house, I want you to call me Charles" the tenderness in his voice gently caresses the young lady's heart, the reason why she couldn't help but smile in the end.
"O-Okay," she replied stuttering. "b-but what if I don't want to? What if accidentally I called you that forbidden word, S-I-R?" she asked chuckling slightly in the end.
The corner of Charles's mouth rose in amusement. "I'm sorry but if that happens, I have to punish you, young lady. If what would it be, you'll know when it already happened" he said winks at her and get inside the car.
For a few moments, Keira remained standing there while not losing the sweet smile on her lips as she followed with her gaze the young man's car until it has been gone to her sight.
When she decided to get inside she saw her parents in the living room watching TV. She knew then that Karl is inside his room already, sleeping.
"I'm going to bed now, Mama, Papa," she told her parents.
"You go ahead and take some rest now, sweetheart" replied his father.
Keira's eyebrows narrowed. "Why it seems that there is something in your smile, Papa? she asked chuckling after a while.
Both of her parents seemed surprised by what she said. "What are you talking about, Keira?" her mother.
She again laughs lightly then shook her head. "Nothing," she said. "good night" the young lady added.

Inside her room, Keira went to bed with so much positive energy in her body. A few moments later, she heard a tone coming from her cellphone which is on the top of the side table of her bed. Her heart is suddenly filled with joy and excitement upon learning from whom the message came from.
It was from Charles.
Sleep tight, tomorrow at work I want you to be beautiful.
The young lady tried her very best not to scream and she succeeded in there. It may not be clear to her why she feels like she is special to the young man but it's okay. The important thing is, he makes her happy and smile all the time. That even she knew for a fact that she is now completely different than the former Keira who was brokenhearted because of Erik.
She sighs with the thought of Erik. She may not be thinking of him but that doesn't guarantee that she doesn't love him anymore. Even if she had a crush on Charles and the young man is filling her world with smiles and thrills, deep in her heart she knows she still loves Erik. And that is the thing that she wanted to do know, to forget him.
That's right, because if then she was the one who gave up on her first love, now it seems that it was her heart that got tired and she really cannot wait for that day to come. The time of finally being free from the pain and bitterness of her past.

"EXCUSE me?" from being busy in front of the computer, Keira tuned to face a familiar voice coming from behind her. Her heart beats a little faster after recognizing it was Shara.
"Yes Ma'am?" in spite of the arrogance that she could see in her beautiful face, Keira can't help but secretly admire her somehow. Because in terms of physical appearance, this one is a perfect match for Charles.
Her heart doesn't want to accept that and she cannot even deny that she could feel some jealousy inside her.
The woman stared at her for a long time like she was memorizing every angle of her face before speaking again.
"Aren't you the woman Charles with that evening on that restaurant? Why it's really funny, he really bothered to dine in there with an employee! Pathetic!" she said sarcastically and gave her a mocking laugh.
Keira immediately felt the sudden heat that spreads all over her face because of that insulting words from the woman. But since she knew it is not right to get those words affects her, she did her best to control.
"Do I have an appointment with Mr. Salveron?" Keira asked opening the planner in front of her.
"I don't need to set an appointment with him, damn you!" Shara said angrily.
With Shara's reaction, Keira can not deny that she somehow felt victorious so she decided to continue. She has to admit that she can blend bitchiness and professionalism beautifully.
"Mr. Salveron is quite busy today so he strictly instructed me to prioritize those with appointments" she answered in calmness and smiled.
The woman gave her a sharp look. "Do you even know me? I can actually tell your boss to fire you" she said trying to scare her.
It was when Keira stood up smiling. "Mr. Salveron might fire me immediately if I did not follow his instruction. If you want I can schedule you for an appointment with him by..." she quickly took a glance at her planner then turned to Shara again. "oh, by next month. He will be going out of town for a seminar, so it will be on the first Tuesday of the following month because Monday is already full" the young lady did not change her tone of voice.
With what she said, Shara's gaze became sharper. "You listen!" she said pointing a finger on her. "as soon as my problem with Charles gets fix, I assure you, you will lose your job! And just like what I have said, I don't need an appointment, if you wanna know why then ask your boss!" after that she left her.
Keira breathes consecutively as she takes a seat. So this may be what Cherry told her during that day of their turnover. She is only doing her job and doing what her boss instructed her to do. Perhaps she will not lose her job by following what Charles told her to do.
But somehow she cannot help but feel a little stressed because of what happened. It was lunch break and timely her boss had called her to order some food when she thought of mentioning to him what had happened.
"Have you eaten already?" he asked her after she finished preparing the food in the table.
