With a huge cup of coffee beside her she flipped through the photos Scott laid on her desk.
¨Wow!¨ She ran a hand through her hair. She picked up the phone and called Darren. ¨You in town?¨
¨Yeah. Doing inventory at the bar with Kellum. Chase is with me. You get the photos?¨
¨I did. Scot just laid them on my desk. How soon can you get here?¨ She leaned back in her chair and gazed out the window.
¨We are locking up now and on our way.¨ Darren replied in her ear.
She hung up the phone and looked at Scott. He looked tired. ¨You get any sleep?¨
He shook his head. ¨No. I sat on Jeb all night. Once he left the warehouses he went to his girlfriends. Left town around six this morning. Then I went home and immediately developed those photos. Wanted to get them asap.¨
She looked at them again. Holding them n her hand. Then she reached for her phone again and dialed a number. She was talking on the phone when Darren, Kellum, and Chase came in. Darren grabbed the photos off the desk and looked at them passing them to the other two.
¨Thank you¨ she mumbled into the phone and hung up. ¨Well?¨
¨Looks like Bishop to me.¨Darren growled.
¨I just got off the phone with someone I worked intelligence with in Baghdad. He really good and digging into things other people can´t dig into. Even better than the FBI. Explains why they want him to work for them. Anyway he´s going to look into Bishop and Jeb. See if there are any connections. He has other resources Even the police can´t reach. He´ll get me a report as soon as he can. In the meantime, I´m going to start having patrol swing by the warehouses a little more often, and report any movement till carnival night. You still need to get married and go on your honeymoon. and we can worry about the Jeb situation.¨ She smiled at her brother. ¨Two days bro. Then it´s married life. We need to stay as normal as ever.¨
¨Okay, but when I get back we deal with all this.¨ Darren narrowed his eyes as he looked at her.
¨We will. As a matter of fact,¨ She turned to Kellum. ¨You have any numbers to any of the guys from the old unit that are stateside? We could use the help.¨
Kellum grinned. ¨I do. I´ll get on the horn this afternoon and invite them up. We might need to house them.¨
¨I´ve got two free rooms at my place.¨ Chase offered.
¨Yeah, good. I´ll start on that now.¨ Kellum dug his cell phone out and started making calls.
Freya looked up at both Darren and Chase. ¨Thanks guys. Now,¨ She turned to Scott who was almost falling asleep in his chair. ¨You go home. Get some sleep. I´ll go on patrol till about 7:00, then you can relieve me. Keep a swing by the warehouse in mind I¨ll relay that to the other two patrols.¨
Scott rose to his feet. ¨Right boss.¨ He gave a small salute and moved to the door. ¨See you guys later.¨
Darren watched him leave then turned back to Freya. ¨I´m headed to mom´s, want me to have her keep April for the night?¨
¨No just let her know I¨ll be a little later than usual to pick her up.¨ She stood up. ¨You guys go do pre-wedding stuff. I¨ve got work to do.¨
