KIARA'S P.O.V
I gently slapped my forehead as I watched the teacher in front teach. She just stood there talking nonstop. Seriously, how did the students in this school understand or know anything? All I could do was just nod and yawn occasionally. These teachers were so boring. Aaargh! I even dozed off once in a while. This was the third class today and I desperately wished to bolt out of the class and school. The glares that Ivan and his male colleagues were sending me weren't helping matters at all.
The bell rang. I shot my head up, sighing in relief as the teacher packed her things and walked out of the class. Finally! I put my books in my bag. I checked my schedule. History. I hoped the teacher had vibes and all because I wasn't in the mood for one more boring class this morning.
Someone poked me from behind.
I turned my head. It was that Daniel dude again. What the hell did this guy want? "What?" I snapped.
He grinned. "I saw you sleeping in the class."
So what? "Dozing, not sleeping," I corrected not so nicely. "And how is that any of your business?"
"Watching you doze off was kinda hilarious," he said with a small chuckle.
I narrowed my eyes. "Seriously? Just leave me alone," I snapped again, feeling angry and a little bit embarrassed. I turned away from him.
But of course, like every male on this planet earth, he was unrelenting. "You know I don't like how you embarrassed me this morning," he said casually.
I rolled my eyes. "Suck it up dude. I don't care."
"You should care. You don't just insult someone who is trying to be nice to you," he said kindly, making me feel small and stupid.
I frowned. "Trying to be nice? Oh please. I know you are just pretending. That's what all you males are. Pretenders," I replied, standing up angrily.
He gave me a concerned look. "I don't understand you. I was just trying to be nice."
"Nice? Nice?? Oh please." I swung my bag across my shoulder. "Don't talk to me even again. I hate you."
"But why?"
"Because you are a boy," I spat out angrily. "And I hate every other boys just because they are boys." So saying, I angrily stomped out of the class.
Cursing silently, I walked around not knowing where I was actually going. Gosh! This school was just so frustrating! As I turned into a corner, I bumped by head into something hard. I was sensible enough to know I didn't hit a wall; I hit a human.
"Ow!" Rubbing my forehead while swearing under my breath, I raised my head and stared at the giant that happened to be Ivan. How did I not notice he was such a giant? Okay, maybe I was exaggerating a little. He wasn't exactly a giant. But he was way taller than me which made me feel intimated. Like I said earlier, I loved to see people shorter than me. It gave me this superior feeling.
I glared at Ivan. "You hit me."
"Next time watch your way," he replied harshly.
"Watch my way? What about you? Are your eyes behind your head?" I shot at him.
He gave me a death glare. "You are just an infuriating b***h!" he spat out angrily.
"Am I supposed to be angry that you called me a b***h? Too bad. You just called me what I am," I replied. "But you are just an egoistical piece of s**t just like all your fellow boys are."
"What do you mean just like all my fellow boys are?" Ivan asked as a confused expression crossed his face.
I flailed my hands up in frustration. "I'm tired of dealing with pretentious people, especially males. You keep acting like you don't know what I'm talking about."
"What the hell are you saying?"
"Why am I even here talking to you?" Saying that, I shoved him out of the way and walked away.
"I still think you are a b***h!" he shouted after me.
Well, tough s**t.
It took me about thirty minutes to find my way back to the class. The guys were all involved in one stuff or the other. I slipped into my seat and just stared around.
Daniel leaned into me and whispered, "Are you okay?"
Reflexively, I smacked his face with the back of my hand.
"Ouch!" he howled.
I glared at him. "Stay away from me."
He pouted. "You are mean."
I rolled my eyes. You think?
"But seriously, are your okay? It's everything fine?" He asked, still pretending to be concerned.
"Yes, I'm fine. Stop talking to me and you can also stop pretending to be concerned."
"I don't know what you are talking about. I'm concerned."
"You know what? Just leave me alone."
"But why?"
I groaned, dropping my head on the desk. If I had to go through this one more time, I'll definitely kill someone.
"Okay, fine," He raised his hands in surrender. "I'll stay away."
I sighed in relief. Thank goodness.
"But just for now. I'll back," He added.
No cap.
About fifteen minutes later, another bell was rung. I checked my schedule and discovered it was lunch break. Well, thank God for that but where would I find the lunchroom?
As I was stuffing my things back into my bag, Daniel walked up to me. Again.
"Hey, it's lunch."
"I know, dimwit," I replied with a roll of my eyes.
"Do you know the way to the lunchroom?" he asked.
"Yes," I lied. I didn't want his help.
"Liar," he countered.
"Look, my guide will be here anytime soon and she will lead me. Stop being so desperate."
He sighed. "Let me just take you there. I'm not going to hurt you."
"That's what y'all say," I replied, as I walked towards the door.
"Just let her be, Dan," Someone shouted. I turned and saw Ivan smirking. He was the one who spoke. "We all know she's just a cold and unfeeling b***h trying to prove that she's better than us."
Well, no cap. He isn't wrong.
"Shut up, Ivan and be nice," Daniel replied with a sigh. "Stop being an asshole for once."
Me and you both, Dan, I thought, me and you both.
"What has been a nice guy taken you to?" Ivan mocked with a snort. "Girls still end up rejecting you. Remember, Lisa chose me over you."
Daniel's eyes narrowed into slits. "Shut your trap, Ivan."
"I bet if I asked her to come with me to the lunchroom, she would never say no," he said gesturing at me.
Oh no, my dear, you just made a mistake, I thought.
I watched as he walked towards me. He stopped in front of me and gave a tiny smirk.
"Hey princess," he said in a flirty tone that made me want to gag. "Want to come with me to the lunchroom?"
I gave him a sarcarstic smile. "In as much as I equally hate Daniel the way O hate you, I'd rather go with Daniel." I watched as the smirk dropped from his lips. It was my turn to smirk. "Come on Daniel, lead me to the lunchroom."
Daniel gaped at me.
"What are you waiting for?" I snapped.
"Sorry," he muttered as he quickly walked out of the class with me trailing behind him.
