KIARA'S P.O.V "Oh my gosh! I can't believe you are a Diamond. You will be the first girl to be there," Zuma gushed as we pushed our way through the students to get to the stairs. "Wait a minute, did you just I'm the only girl in the Diamonds class or whatever you just called it?" I asked. "Yep," she confirmed. Just great. I was going to be stuck with the very gender I hated. "The hell, why?" I muttered silently to myself as we climbed the stairs. "You see, Diamonds involve students with extreme and multiple powers which makes you fit in. The only problem is that they had never been a girl there before. It has always been believed that only makes are capable of possessing such powers." "That's bullshit!" "That's what we've always believed," she said with a shrug. "The guys may consider you as a threat, moreso, you are human. That will just make it worse for them," she added. "Great," I intoned sacarstically. "Just try to be careful and keep a low profile. Anyway, I think you are lucky because the Diamonds guys are insanely hot," she stated. "You've seen one of them- Ivan Salvatore." I rolled my eyes. "I don't care about boys. I hate them." Zuma rolled her eyes. "Yeah, whatever. Just come with me," she said. "So, in case you don't know, we also run normal academic activities in the day. In the afternoon, we take our magical activities and lessons." "Okay." "So, Kathy gave me your schedule," she said, handing me a neatly folded paper that had my schedule and time table printed in it. I unwrapped it and studied it. "So, my first period says Calculus." "I'll just take you to your class now. Your time table and schedule is quite the same with your classmates since you guys are not much," Zuma said as we stopped in front of an opened door. I peered into the classroom and saw about six guys in there; some seated and some standing. They were chatting in groups of two. "Ready?" Zuma asked. I shrugged. "You can leave. I'll take it from here." She nodded. "Okay, bye. I'll probably see you during the break," she said and walked away. I stepped into the class and silence fell as they all turned to look at me. I scoffed and huffed at the same time. Why were they all staring at me? I scanned my eyes through the few seats in sight. There was a chair and table in the middle of the classroom. Great. As I walked to the seat, I heard someone ask, "What are you doing here?" I took a deep breath. Don't get angry, don't get angry, I chanted to myself. I ignored the person, walked to the seat and made myself comfortable. Murmurs broke among the guys. Like a flash if lightening, a guy suddenly dashed to my front. I looked up and saw the Ivan guy staring at me. "What are you doing here?" he harshly asked again. I rolled my eyes. "Obviously, this is a class. Why do you think I'm here?" He frowned at me. "Do you know what class this is? This is the Diamonds. You cannot be here. It's not meant for girls." "I didn't realize there were sexists in the magic world too," I said. Seriously, this guy was pissing me off. "We don't like intruders in our class, so, leave," he commanded. I relaxed into my chair and began to pick my fingers in a nonchalant manner. He could go to hell for all I care. "Are you deaf?!" he thundered in aloud booming voice that could scare anyone but not me. I slowly looked up at him and in a low but dangerous and warning tone, I said, "f**k off." I could see his eyes turning red. Smoke was literally coming out of his ears. He was fuming. With anger, he grabbed my elbow and roughly pulled me out of my chair. What the hell?! In a low but audible voice, he said, "You are going to get the hell out of here otherwise I'll do something you will regret." How dare he hold my hands and elbow like that? I hated when people touched me especially males. And this i***t just had the nerve to grab me. I could feel my insides tingling with anger. My face was becoming red and hot. I knew what was about to happen next. I was burning. Again. I stared into his eyes. "Leave me alone or you will be the one to regret it," I said, gritting my teeth. "You are stubborn, aren't you?" he said, his teeth clenched together. "You....ow!" he yelled, releasing my elbow as he suddenly dropped his hands and jerked away from me. I stared down at my fingers that were trembling with anger. My whole body was visibly hot and red and I was burning up. I looked at Ivan who was nursing hsi bruised palm. He stared at me, surprised. "You burn when you are angry?" he asked. "Dumb much? That's obviously what just happened. So, maybe next time, you will think twice before trying to piss me off. Now, scram," I said as I settled back in my seat, trying to calm myself down. His eyes darkened in anger. He stared at me for a while, then, stormed out of the class. I watched as another guy followed him. Good riddance. I turned and saw a boy slipping into the seat beside me. Ignoring him, I turned back to the book in my hands. "I'm Danny," he said. Do I look like I care? I thought to myself. I didn't give him a reply. The only thing that could be heard was the flipping of my book. I wasn't even actually reading. I just wanted him to get angry and leave. "What's your name?" he asked. I rolled my eyes. What does he need my name for? He was just pretending to be interested. Men are all the same. They pretend to be interested when all they ever want to do is have s*x wether with your consent or by force. "Why are you ignoring me?" he asked. I snapped my book shut. "Good to know you have some working brain cells that let you know I'm ignoring you. But due to the dead parts of your brain cells, you are unaware of the fact that you are supposed to leave me alone," I said with my voice raised. The rest of the boys stared at us and some cooed at what I said. Danny's face flushed in embarrassment. Did I feel bad? No. "I'm....I'm...sorry," he stuttered. "As you should be," I retorted. At about nine o'clock, the Calculus teacher- a man- came into the class. His hands were filled with textbooks and his glasses slipped off the edge as he peered at us above the rims. Gosh! It's definitely my bad luck that my first teacher happens to be the gender I hate. "Good morning class." The guys mumbled in greeting while I just focused on bringing out my books. When I raised my head, I saw him peering at me. "Hey you!" he said, pointing at me. "What are you doing in this class?" I sighed. "This is my class. You got a problem with that, siiir?" I drawled the 'sir' mockingly. He gave me a deep frown. "Your name?" "Kiara Jones." "Get out of my class and find me a proof that you actually belong here," he ordered. "Excuse me?" I asked, offended and upset. "You heard me. Get out if my class and find me a proof." I pursed my lips. This mas was already annoying me and he had not even started teaching. I brought out my schedule and walked up to him. With a thump, I dropped it on the table. "Here. Are you satisfied?" He stared at it. My name was boldly written on top and the Diamonds Class was written there. He adjusted his glasses, trying to cover up his surprised look. I smirked. "Oh, feel free to be surprised, sir." He composed himself. "Hi and take your seat," he ordered. I rolled my eyes as I walked back to my seat. Same set of men I know. Egoistical, arrogant men who think they are better than women and try to belittle women all the time.
