“Hey work girl, how was today?” Magdalene asked smiling as she bumped her shoulders with mine
“Well it was easier than I thought, but I think that’s because they are not so used to me yet. I mean I was asked to bring in water and that was all” I answered, feeling a little bit discouraged.
I knew when people were trying to make me work too hard as it was what my father and brothers did all my life but I also knew when I was not being carried along, on purpose.
“Maybe they are scared to give you hard chores, as they barely know you, you know. I can relate to how that feels, but don’t worry I can assure you that with time they will adjust and you would get as much work as you want.” She replied as she kept on smiling
