Chapter 8

Daniel paused for a moment before deciding this was his chance. Justin had humiliated him in front of the Flores family, accusing Daniel of marrying a woman he had dumped. If Audrey hadn't intervened at the time, Justin would not have left the Flores estate alive. Now, with just Justin in the car, it felt like fate had handed Daniel an opportunity. He steeled himself, whispering through gritted teeth, "No need to wait until tomorrow. I'll finish him today." Dragonclaw, sitting beside him, warned him once. "Mr. Anderson, the Nolan family is really powerful. This could lead to trouble with them." "So what?" Daniel dismissed the warning. "Do you think they'd turn against the Andersons over a criminal like Justin? The Nolan family might wield considerable influence and wealth in Riverwood, but the Anderson family is no minor player. In a direct conflict, the Nolans might not be a match for us. I was just avoiding escalating the situation just now." His eyes turned cold as he continued, "Besides, Audrey isn't in the car. Who cares if I run over Justin? At worst, I'll pay for a new Porsche. Do you think I need money?" Ava laughed at this, encouraging him, "Yeah, just hit him. He will die before he knows it!" "Exactly! Kill him, honey," Emma chimed in, her intent clear. She was ready to do anything to achieve her goal. Resolved, Daniel grabbed his phone and called the driver in front. "William, hit the car in front and make sure the person inside is dead," he ordered. "Are you sure, Mr. Anderson?" William asked, nervous about committing a murder. "Stop questioning me and do it!" Daniel yelled. "Yes, Mr. Anderson. I'll kill that bastard now," William replied and ended the call. He backed the car up and then hit the gas, speeding forward like a missile. As Justin realized what was happening, there was a loud crash, the fierce impact flipping the Porsche. Audrey, who was on the phone by the roadside, heard the crash and saw her new car engulfed in sparks, spinning into the flowerbed. Realizing what had happened, she screamed and ran toward the wreck, shouting, "Justin! Justin!" "Hahaha... Justin, this is what you get for hitting me. Let's see if you'll survive this time!" "How dare you try to mess with me, you f*****g retard? I'll make sure you pay the price." As dozens of wedding cars sped past, Audrey caught sight of Daniel and Emma laughing in the backseat. "You monsters!" Audrey screamed, running to the car in desperation. She needed to find a way to get Justin out. Suddenly, a loud bang sounded, and the car door was kicked open from the inside, startling her so much that she fell to the ground. Before Audrey could process what was happening, she saw two hands reach out and tear open a huge gash in the side of the car. This scene shocked her more than when her car was hit by Daniel and sent flying. Justin tore the car apart with his bare hands and walked out unscathed. Audrey's mouth dropped open as she saw the enraged Justin, who roared, "Anderson family, Flores family, I'm going to turn your wedding into a funeral today!" With determination in his eyes, he tried to flag down a taxi to confront both families at the hotel. Audrey grabbed his arm out of fear and desperation. "Justin, please, don't be hasty. The Andersons are powerful, with connections in the government and courts. Even the gangs are on their side. Let's talk to my grandpa first before doing anything rash!" "If you hadn't stopped me at the Flores Villa, I'd have finished that scumbag and b***h then. How can I let them push my buttons repeatedly? Today, they must pay!" Justin spat out in anger, shook free of Audrey's grip, and got into a taxi headed straight for the Grandview Hotel. Audrey was taken aback by the fierce look in Justin's eyes, which looked as ferocious as that of a wild beast. She stepped back instinctively, feeling a sudden wave of fear. By the time she collected herself, Justin had already left. Her shouts were futile. Panicking, she pulled out her phone and called Cillian. "Grandpa! Something bad has happened. Daniel and his people crashed into my car, and now Justin's gone to the Grandview Hotel to confront the Anderson family." "What? Why didn't you stop him? The Andersons hold a lot of power in this city, both legally and in the underworld. Even our family has to show them some respect!" Cillian exclaimed in the ward, slapping his thigh in frustration. "I couldn't stop him, Grandpa. What do we do now?" Audrey asked. "Wait for me! I'll handle it." Cillian ended the call and turned to his secretary. "Get the car ready immediately. We're going to the Grandview Hotel. Contact all the bodyguards, and make sure they're fully prepared." Cillian was worried about the potential fallout, fearing the Andersons wouldn't make things easy, so he needed to take action in advance. *** The Grandview Hotel was abuzz with activity. Luxury cars lined the entrance. Daniel, the son of Toby, the city's councilman, was getting married, and the place was swarming with well-heeled guests, influential figures, and even some underworld personalities. "Congratulations to Mr. Anderson on his wedding. The Moran Group presents a limited-edition Ferrari." "Best wishes to Mr. Anderson and Miss Flores on their wedding day. The Pinnacle Group gifts 880,000 dollars in cash!" "The bride and groom are a perfect match!" "Definitely. Miss Flores is really lucky. Mr. Anderson is so handsome and successful, unlike her ex who ended up in jail!" remarked one wealthy young man, lavishing praise on the couple while taking a dig at Justin. "Don't bring up that loser. He ruined my mood as soon as he got out of prison. Good thing he got hit by a car on the way here," Emma gloated, eager to share her joy. "Hah, he got hit by a car? He got what he deserved!" "Someone like him going against Mr. Anderson is a joke. Mr. Anderson put him behind bars once; crushing him is as easy as stepping on a bug!" As they laughed at Justin's plight, sudden chaos erupted outside the hotel. A loud crash echoed through the space as two burly security guards, each weighing over 200 pounds, smashed through the glass doors, landing on a dining table in the lobby. With a thunderous sound, the table collapsed, spilling food and drink everywhere, throwing the gathering into disarray. One drenched businessman, now a mess of spilled drinks, jumped to his feet, shouting angrily, "Who the hell is causing trouble at Mr. Anderson's wedding?" But the next moment, people's attention turned toward the entrance. Justin stood there, striding in with an aura of menace, his eyes ablaze with anger. Nobody dared to meet his gaze. A chilling fear swept over everyone present. Justin's eyes swept over the crowd with cold fury. "Today, it's between me and the Anderson and Flores families. If you're not involved, get the hell out of the Grandview Hotel! Right now!"
