When Alex dropped me off at my house, neither Cassy nor Holly was there. They had left me a note saying they were sorry for leaving me last night, but they had both hooked up with different guys, and they hadn’t been able to find me to let me know. They also said they would make it up to me when they got home from work tonight. Both of them had taken jobs at a local club dancing. I personally don’t know how they do it, but with me helping to pay for basically everything and the money they made at the club, it meant they only had to work one or two days out of the week to make their part of the rent and have plenty to spend on whatever they needed or wanted. It also meant they were able to focus on school easily and not have to worry about working long hours while trying to find time
