Lucas rolled off of the couch again and I let out a rather loud laugh. He was just an adorable bubble of happiness and I was grateful for the distraction he provided. I bent and helped him off of the floor and helped him sit next to me.
Ryder was in the kitchen-I knew this because I could hear the clattering of pots and pans and who knows what else, which led me to believe that he was cooking.
We continued to watch the movie and after quite some time, I realized that Lucas had fallen asleep-his soft snoring a dead giveaway. I made sure that my movements were slow and gentle as I picked him up and cradled him in my arms as I started making my way to the kitchen. I would have to ask Ryder where to put him to sleep.
