The Changes

It had been some time since Jerome had left Jax's small kingdom, and Jax had been diligently working to make up for his past shortcomings. Fortunately, he was beginning to feel more confident in himself. Firstly, after the completion of the factory lab, the scientists wasted no time in upgrading Jax's soldiers to the next level with the new serum they developed using Connor's blood , resulting in a more reliable and formidable group. Jax was no longer as concerned about their numbers, as all of them were now Tier 2 warriors who had become significantly stronger than before. [Barbarian Soldiers] Stars: 2 (can be evolved) Key Points: - Very strong - The more soldiers there are, the more damage they can inflict - They possess a rage skill that doubles their power when activated, but also makes them weakerafter the duration ends. [Special Stats] - Herculean Strength (level 2) - Sword Mastery (level 1) - Cost: 20 spirit coins to hire one soldier The soldiers had undergone a remarkable transformation due to the inclusion of Connor's blood, turning them into a purebred set of barbarian soldiers. Not only did their stats change, but they also now wielded swords instead of clubs and bats, with some even equipped with axes. Their strength had become truly impressive, potentially surpassing their previous selves. Additionally, they had acquired sword mastery for those with swords and axe mastery for those with axes. Jax was particularly pleased to see that they now wore leather armor, though it wasn't the iron armor he had envisioned. Nevertheless, it marked a substantial upgrade from their previous state of being nearly n***d. Furthermore, with the full upgrade of the barracks, a new type of warrior emerged—the sss Archers. These archers possessed incredible speed and proved to be more effective in larger numbers. [sss Archers] Stars: 1 (can be evolved) Key Points: - Very fast - The greater their numbers, the more damage they can inflict [Special Stats] - Evasive Techniques (level 1) - Archery Mastery (level 1) - Tracking Ability (level 0) - Cost: 25 spirit coins to hire one Archer Jax wasted no time in recruiting the newly available warriors, thanks to the upgraded level of his camp. This enhancement allowed him to have up to five hundred warriors at a time, providing him with a formidable force to defend his kingdom. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Jax decided to recruit around a hundred archers and four hundred two-star barbarian soldiers, who were equivalent to Tier 2 warriors in the realm of Kings World. He understood the importance of having a strong force to protect his kingdom. Utilizing the archers' tracking abilities, they were able to locate some wild Tier 1 demonic beasts in the nearby mountain forest. Jax assigned about fifty barbarian soldiers to accompany the archers on their hunt. The team was successful in capturing and killing several beasts, which proved to be a lucrative venture for Jax, earning him more coins and spirit coins. The archers, with their exceptional hunting skills, were instrumental in the majority of the kills. Their accuracy with the bow was such that before a barbarian soldier even reached its target, it would already have an arrow in its head. Jax was confident that if fifty of them aimed their shots at a Tier 2 warrior, they could easily take Tier 2 warriors life a countless times. With the profits from the successful hunt, Jax was able to make some basic upgrades to his town. Especially most of the wooden walls surrounding the small town were replaced with sturdy stone walls, although it cost him a significant amount of coins. But Despite the financial strain, Jax understood that these upgrades were necessary to ensure the security of his town. The transformation brought about by these few days of upgrades was visibly evident, giving the town( it has upgraded from a village due to the new upgrades) a whole new look. There was no longer any connection between the new town and the old village. Two archer towers were erected at the front gate, each manned by two skilled archers. They were able to shoot anyone they deemed as invaders who approached within 90 meters of the town gates. The entire town, including the citizens of Jax's small kingdom, felt the positive changes that were taking place. Even Jax's wife was taken aback by the rapid improvements. The town had become more beautiful than ever before, and the patrol team diligently worked to maintain law and order. Jax's wife, Alicia, initially had her doubts and asked Jax countless questions. However, witnessing the positive changes in their small kingdom and seeing how it brought peace and security to the citizens' minds, she decided to put her trust in her husband. Jax reassured her that he hadn't sought help from anyone else, which finally allowed Alicia to breathe a sigh of relief. As She didn't want Jax to enter into a deal that would tie them down to another kingdom for the rest of their lives. But all these developments were just a prelude to what Jax had truly been anticipating. The moment he had been waiting for had finally arrived. He had been sending the archers and barbarian soldiers to the Mountain Forest to hunt, accumulating enough Spirit Coins to recruit his next hero, the sss Archer Queen. With 10,000 Spirit Coins finally amassed, Jax was prepared to recruit the powerful queen, granting him two heroes in total. This gave him a sense of assurance in protecting himself and his small kingdom when the war eventually broke out. "Welcome, my King," greeted the counter lady. "Welcome, system spirit," she also acknowledged the Icy Blue System Spirit floating by Jax's side. This small gesture surprised Jax, as he had assumed he was the only one able to see the system spirit, but It turned out he was mistaken. "You can also see the system spirit?" he asked, perplexed, pointing towards the blue floating spirit, attempting to confirm something. "Of course I can. We are connected," she replied as if it were something obvious. Jax realized that if the counter lady could see the system spirit, it meant that others connected to the system would be able to see it as well. His paranoia stemmed from not wanting his secret of having a system to be exposed. If the system spirit was visible to anyone, it meant that his secret wouldn't remain concealed for long, but fortunately it was only to those who were connected to the system Passing the bag containing the 10,000 spirit coins to the counter lady, whose name he still didn't know and hadn't bothered to ask, she placed it on the counter. "Exchange for the sss Archer Queen Hero," the counter lady said, and like magic, a bright flash of light swallowed the money, and a spatial gate opened. From the gate emerged someone who left Jax gasping at the sight of the heavenly beauty before him.
