Chapter Fourteen: Are you going to lure her to bed?

Vita have been busy with her plan to write a book. As soon as Tio granted her the permission, she got on it right away. But, she haven’t forgotten what she have to do to gain that permission. And eventually, Vita have to get back to work. Her break is over and she also have to hand her resignation form to her employer. She have everything ready.

“Tio, are you done in there?” Vita called out for him. It’s a lucky morning for her to see Tio in the morning. Because lately, Tio have been busy with work and he would go to work before she wake up and come home really late. She didn’t know what he is working on, but it’s his work and Vita doesn’t want to interfere in his work.

“In a moment, Vita.” He yelled.        

She’s still sitting on the side of the bed, waiting for Tio to be done showering. She needs to apply make-up and look presentable before going to work, like she always do.

Two minutes, that’s how much time she had to wait for Tio to finally be done using the bathroom. When he walked out of the bathroom, he is looking so fresh and dripping with water from his hair to his chest. His hips wrapped with a towel that is neatly folded.

“Two minutes, Tio.” She said in a dramatic frustrated, her face is also showing how bored she have to wait. But, Tio only rolled his eyes seeing his dramatic wife.

He walked up towards her and before she can get up from the bed, Tio stopped her. He placed one of his knee in between hers and the other one is on her other side like a criss-cross. She automatically fall down to the bed with him being on top of her. She looked at him in confused looking at his prey eyes. Before she could ask him that, he kissed her lips roughly and hard. But that only lasted for a few seconds.

“I’m going to meet a potential seller today and I’m going to be home late… Maybe.” He said.

“Okay?” She is not sure what to respond to that. She get it that he have to come home late. But, the way he was telling her, it feels like something is going to happen and she is not going to like it. She can feel it radiating off of him.

“I’m going to meet her in her house, alone.” Her eyebrows furrowed together.

“What?!”                                                                                    

“It’s a business meeting and it’s very important for my business. Because, I’m buying an island in Asia that is the most looked by other businessman or woman out there.” He explained. He knew she wouldn’t give him a supportive reaction.

“If it’s a business meeting, your assistant should come along. Why is it just the two of you? Are you going to lure her to bed so you can get the island?!!” At this point, Vita couldn’t control her anger. She doesn’t like the fact that he is going to meet another woman alone. And especially, after he said it was important for his business. That mean he will do anything to get it. Vita knows that her husband is a very competitive businessman.

“I knew you would say that.” Tio muttered, then proceed to get off her.

“What do you mean you knew I was going to say that?” She angrily stand up and crossed her arms in front of her. His back is facing her, so she didn’t know what he look like right now. Is he mocking her behind her back? Or he is tired of her? It makes her feel insecure about herself.

Her eyes heated up and she know her tear will fall in any seconds now. Why does he have to bring up meeting other woman?

She prevent the tears to fall, but she can’t fight it and it just fell. When she saw he’s not going to talk, she move her feet to carry her to the bathroom. She felt something twisted in her heart when he is not going to deny it. That mean he was planning to do just what she said.

A heavy heart carries her away. The faster she get done getting ready, the sooner she will leave home.

Just after a few steps she took, she felt a hand grabbed her upper arm. She didn’t turn around and he didn’t force her to.

“I’m not going to bed her. Sure, I am going to lure her until she cave in, but I’m not going to bed her.” He repeated, so she will understand. This meeting doesn’t come easy, but surely will go within a blink of an eye. She still doesn’t answer him, so he squeeze her arm firmly. At least she would look at him and know that he is serious about what he just said. “You’re going to take Aston to work, it’s an order.”

She nodded and wait. She’s waiting for him to let her go, so she can get ready and not to bother him.

“I never take advantage for business related, Vita.” His voice sounded strong, but her heart is too fragile to hold on to that.

“Okay.” She quietly answered.

“Okay? Just okay?” He can’t believe he is only hearing a word out of her mouth.

“Yes, I wouldn’t want to impose your work. I have break so many rules, I don’t want you to think that I’m taking advantage of it.” Her voice is quivering and he just doesn’t see her tears have flowing down like a waterfall.

He instantly let go of her arm. Her words hit him strike and it’s like a reminder that she is just temporary in his life. That is why he hates getting attached to something that is not forever. That is why he never believe in love and marriage. That is why he married her for formality and nothing more. But he felt like a fool now.

He have tried this new things because of her. But she is also the breaker of his careless self.
