CHAPTER 20: THE NEW ACADEMY TEACHER

"We might have a hard time looking for that green pearl," Master Kenjie said. They were walking on the street of the Night Market. They reached a crossing where there are also stalls and shops in both directions, "Let's go this way." He pointed to the left street.
"Why is it difficult to find the green pearl, Master?" Yin asked.
"Basically, if someone has the green pearl, he will just use it for himself. As I have mentioned earlier, what matters in our world are power, wealth and position. For business people, these green pearls could be sold for a price that would make your pocket cry."
They reached the end of that street and yet they have not found anything. "This is hopeless." Yin sighed.
"Don't lose hope. There is another way for you to get a green pearl," Master Kenjie said.
"Really?" they all responded at the same time.
"How?" Prince Kev asked.
"By hunting a hundred-year old beast yourselves." Master Kenjie proudly opened his arms. It seems it is easy to hunt a beast, not to mention a powerful one.
"Master, at this rate, we can not even slay the lowest and weakest type of beast in the mystic forest." Maple placed her hands on her waist, lowered her head and sighed deeply.
"I will personally train you on how to strengthen your energy foundation, your technique and your agility." Master Kenjie crossed his arms. "I will enter the academy as your teacher, but in this form. I am a shy type of person and I don't normally show myself to people."
"You will? That's fantastic!" Czarina is excited to train under Master Kenjie's supervision. Now she can develop her full potential with the guidance of an immortal Spirit Beast Master.
"Yes, dear. Just promise me one thing," he whispered. "Do not use your ice power for now. Do not tell anyone about your secret."
"I promise, Master." She raised her hand to swear.
"Master, I also need to consult you." Kev cleared his throat. "We encountered a huge black shadow along the way while we were looking for the Night Market."
"A what?" Master's forehead wrinkled. "Why would a black shadow be in the capital? They are creatures who only live in the darkest part of Nedostojan. They die in daylight and they become strong at night."
Yin shook his head. "We don't know, Master, and we killed it."
"We really need to go back to the capital and send you back to your dorms." He glanced at Kev. "I will also report to the king. Let's go."
"Which way, Master?" Maple asked.
"Don't worry. I can carry you all, kids." He pointed his finger up and released a dust-like gold sand. They disappeared immediately.
They appeared in the middle of the campus. They all looked around and saw the familiar structures around.
"We're already on campus?" Czarina's jaw dropped. "Was that a teleport power?! What an amazing power!"
"Oh, don't worry," Master Kenjie said while laughing. "It was just a magical dust I bought from the market. I will give you some later. Let's go, we will visit your principal."
"You will tell him who you are?" Kev asked.
"He is a little weirdo." Master Kev could not stop laughing because of Kev's remark about the principal. "Smaj Reeva might be a weirdo, but he is one of the trusted masters in our kingdom. He is also more powerful than what you guys could think. Come."
They proceeded to the principal's office. Master knocked on the door and waited for Smaj's response.
"Come in."
Master opened the door and entered the room. Czarina and the others followed him.
"Yes, kids?" His forehead wrinkled, trying to recognize his visitors. "it's already late. Is there anything you need? Who is this old man?"
"Have you already forgotten your friend, Smaj?" Master Kenjie transformed himself into his original appearance. "This is me, Kenjie."
Principal Smaj Reeva was shocked. His eye balls almost popped out from their sockets, and his jaw almost dropped on the floor. "Kenjie!" He ran towards the immortal god and hugged him tight.
"This is a little weird," Yin whispered to Czarina.
She hits him slightly using her elbow. "Shut up."
"Where have you been? What happened to you? You were gone for so many years!" He looked behind Kenjie. "Where is Ice?'
Kenjie's facial expression changed. "I couldn't find her."
"She's missing too?" The principal could not believe what he was hearing. "I thought you two just eloped to live peacefully and have a family."
Master Kenjie shook his head. "We were investigating the Night Market and the people behind it when she just suddenly did not show up. It's been six months since she went missing."
"I'm sorry to hear that. Let's seek help from the palace to look for her. You won't be able to find her alone," Principal Smaj suggested.
"That's what I am about to do. These kids helped me realize I need help. They found me accidentally." He did not say where they found him to avoid punishment for escaping from the school.
"Oh, that is the reason why you are with them, and with the prince." He gestured the way out of the office. "I will send you to your room tonight. We will go to the palace early in the morning."
"Let's bring the kids tomorrow," Master Kenjie said. "I love hanging around with kids, I feel young." He laughed.
"Right, my friend." They both went out of the office.
"Can you give me a job here? I am going to train those kids."
"Sure. We will fix everything tomorrow." Principal Smaj looked back at them. "Close the door, kids."
"The principal is totally different when he is with Master Kenjie," Yin said, muttering those words to himself.
"Let's go, Yin. We need to have a rest now. Aren't you tired yet?" Czarina asked.
"Right." They all went out of the principal's office and headed straight to their dorms.
