I was surprised at how well I had slept, making sure we both stuck to our own sides of the bed I had wedged a pillow between us, much to Kane's amusement he never commented on it.

A part of me was thankful he wasn't here when I woke up this morning, I'm not sure what time he left but it was still very early the sun was only just beginning to rise, I lazily dragged myself out of bed and headed for the bathroom to complete my morning ablutions, I wanted to go and find Kane tell him I needed to go back to my pack and get some things there was no way in hell I would be leaving this room and socializing with people in his boxers and shirt.

Flicking off the light I began to leave the bathroom when an unfamiliar scent hit my nostrils, I was immediately drawn to the bed where a girl was laid propped up by the pillows against the headboard smiling brightly, Her black and red hair lay in ringlets over her chest resting on what looked like a black corset, her crossed legs sported heels and black mini skirt, or maybe it was a belt, either way, there wasn't much material there at all, what I noticed first, was her bright blue eyes, they were the same blue eyes I noticed on Kane, could this be his sister?

"There you are, I can't believe you are finally here" she squealed, jumping from the bed and running over to me she launched her arms around me squeezing me tightly, "Finally another girl here to help me sort out these morons" she laughed, pushing me back she still sported the wide smile showcasing her pearly white teeth. "I'm Blair" she held out her hand, Slowly I took hold about to introduce myself but she beat me to it "Your Embry, I already know" I smiled back at her, she seemed to have such a cheery personality, the complete opposite to Kane "I hope my brother was a perfect gentleman last night?"

I was right, so this is his sister "Well that depends on what your definition of a perfect gentleman is?" I joked.

She looked worried her smile slightly fading "What did he do?" her whole demeanor suddenly changed.

"Well his version of introducing himself was to attack my family, threaten to kill them and to wipe out my pack if I didn't come back here with him, so let's just say we didn't really start out on the right foot" I walked around her and headed back to sit on the bed.

"But your ok now?" she questioned.

"We were... well let's just say civil last night, I've not seen him this morning he was already gone by the time I woke up" I explained as Blair climbed on the bed next to me.

"Well, that's a start" she shrugged.

"Yeah I suppose" I agreed.

"Why don't you get dressed and we can head down for breakfast, I've sent Ryder down to start cooking, but if we don't get down there soon there is a good chance we will all be dining on charcoal" she laughed.

"ok, I won't be a minute I have to find something of Kane's" I explained as I jumped off the bed heading towards the closet.

"Kane's? where's your things?" she raised her eyebrows as she studied my outfit I had worn to bed.

"I don't have anything, I'm hoping your brother will be in a good enough mood today to let me go back and get some stuff"

"I'm sure he would, in fact, if you went down there now and said you wanted his credit card we could go shopping" She wiggled her eyebrows.

"I doubt that" I answered as I pulled open the doors

" Err, Where are you going?" she asked as she jumped up from the bed.

"To grab some clothes" I answered confused as I pointed into the closet.

"No sister-in-law of mine is walking around wearing my brother's dirty ass boxer briefs" she took hold of my hand and pulled me out the room, heading down the hallway she pushes open another door.

"This is mine and Ryder's room" she dropped my hand and walked over to her closet, it was a very similar layout to Kane's room just a little smaller.

It only just dawned on me she said her and Ryders room, They must be a couple, or were they mated? "you and Ryder are together?" I poked hoping she would elaborate.

"Yeah we mated on my 16th birthday actually, didn't Kane tell you?" she stopped to look at me as she was pulling clothes off the rails.

"No he never mentioned it" she rolled her eyes going back to the clothes in her hand.

"He takes some getting used to, sometimes he goes through these quiet stages but he's not all that bad " she tried to stick up for him, but I couldn't help but think of the things I had heard about him, maybe they weren't all true but as they say there is never smoke without fire, these rumours had to come from somewhere.

"Isn't he?" She walked back up to me with a more serious tone on her face.

"Look, Im well aware of the rumours that surround my brother, I don't expect you to come here and immediately fall madly in love with him but, just take your time, get to know him, he's not a bad person, there is soo much more to him than he lets on, and when the time's right I'm sure he will open up to you and explain everything, you will understand why he is the way he is" The look in her eyes told me things ran alot deeper here than I had originally thought, so there is alot more to the big bad Alpha than everyone knew.

I gave her a friendly smile "I'll be here when he wants to talk" And I would, he was my mate of course I wanted to know more about him, especially if we were going to have any sort of future together.

"Thankyou" she placed her hand on my arm, I could tell it was a genuine thankyou, it gave me the feeling that she genuinely wanted me to try with him, maybe he wasn't one for letting many people get close to him.

"Anyway enough of the mushy crap, put these on" She shoved a pair of stilettos into my chest and a coat hanger with a dress attached to it, As I examined the dress I had to admit it was nice, not something I would ever wear normally it was a red strapless body con dress with a drawstring either side making it that tiny bit more revealing either side, I'm not even sure I would wear this on a night out.

"It's nice but I don't suppose you have something a bit longer" I didn't want to seem rude, it was very generous of her to help me when she didn't have to.

"Nope, you will look soo hot in this trust me" She smiled as she waltzed off by the mirror applying a layer of gloss to her lips.

I shuffled out of her bathroom trying to scoot down the edges of my dress, I just knew my ass was going to be out at some point today, I needed my clothes and unless he wanted the pack to see my nether regions Kane was going to have to take me today!

"you look stunning!" she squealed as she jumped to my front, "you are going to drive my brother insane with this dress!" I took another look down at myself, it was a good job I had shaved whilst I was in the bath yesterday.

"Are you sure, I don't feel like it's covering everything?" I asked as I wriggled my bum trying to get the dress down again.

"It covers the important parts, so it's fine" she placed the heels at my feet so I slipped them on, whilst I was doing so she came back over to me holding out a leather jacket, sliding my arms in I walked to the floor-length mirror to double-check my look. Ok so I felt a bit better now, Blair was soon behind me brushing my hair and scrunching some mousse into it, finishing off my look with her lip gloss I had to admit I was looking pretty hot.

I walked by Blair's side as we made our way to the kitchen, The smell of bacon making my mouth water the closer we got, "Smells good in here" Blair stated as we walked through the kitchen doorway. My eyes immediately landing on Kane as he was forking bacon onto the plates on the side in front of him. As soon as he saw me he paused, eyeing me from head to toe, his eyes turning black as night "Don't she look amazing!" Blair shouted whilst hugging Ryder, pulling Kane out of his trance.

Clearing his throat "yeah you look good" he croaked as though he was struggling to take a deep breath, he began dishing up the food again his eyes flicking back up to me every now and again.

"How did you sleep," Ryder asked as he pulled out Blair's chair for her to take a seat, he placed the cutlery on the table, walking back to grab Two plates for them both.

"Yeah, pretty well thanks" I smiled, walking to the seat next to Blair, I sat down as Kane walked around placing my plate in front of me "I wasn't sure what you liked so I just done a bit of everything" He was short in his statement, I looked up at him but he avoided making any eye contact with me, was he angry now?

"Thanks," I said but he ignored me sitting down at the table he began to eat, Blair and Ryder both looked at each other than at me, I wasn't entirely sure what the look meant but I wasn't going to spend my days here walking on eggshells because Kane couldn't decide what mood he wanted to be in.

"Is it ok to go back to my pack today so I can get some things?" I asked after a few moments of silence, I thought now would be the perfect time to ask since Blair and Ryder were sat here.

He stopped eating and slowly looked up at me "Trying to leave already I see" he said shaking his head slowly.

"No, but I need some clothes, I cant spend each day sharing clothes with you and your sister"

"Fine, we can go this afternoon, I have things to do this morning"

"That's fine, thankyou," I said playing him at his own game by avoiding looking at him and being short.

He threw his fork down onto his plate discarding the rest of his meal, he stood from his seat throwing back the chair to the floor, he walked over to the sink throwing the plate in, I didn't need to look to know it was smashed, he stormed by me, heading towards the door, the three of us just sat in silence. "And one more thing, we are your pack now, not them" I ignored his remark as he continued to storm out the room.

Blair stood and walked after him at speed, "here we go" Ryder murmured, I looked at him, he didn't seem bothered about what was about to happen, should I be bothered?

"don't look too worried, you will get used to this" he grinned, get used to what exactly, I wasn't even sure I wanted to get used to this as he so casually put it.

"Will she be ok?" I was curious and wanted to double-check her safety, I didn't know how far Kane went when he was in these moods.

"The question is, will he be ok? Blair knows how to handle Kane, don't worry" I took his word for it, he obviously knew them alot better than I did, I continued to eat in silence. A few minutes later Blair came back into the kitchen, pulling up her chair once again she smiled at me as she began eating once again.

She turned to look at the doorway behind me as though she was waiting for something, I didn't want to turn and show interest in it, I continued with my food pretending not to notice.

Kane walked by me picking up his chair and tucking it back in under the table, he turned back to the kitchen doing something with his back to me, and just as I finished my food he came to sit in front of me once more, "I'm sorry" he said barely a whisper, I looked up to who he was talking to when I realized he was looking at me.

"It's ok" I was dumbfounded, that is all I could think to say, he caught me off guard, I never expected him to come back in let alone apologise to me.

"As soon as your finished we can go to your parents and get your things" I smiled at him, maybe he was softening towards me, if he was willing to try maybe I shouldn't be too hard on him either, I was just concerned what my old pack would think when I turn up with him, would they think I've betrayed them? would Mallory still consider me a friend for leaving, I suppose we will soon find out.
