All were surprised by the sudden entrance of Edward inside their office. Some looked at him with worry etched on their faces, and some were pretending to be doing something important in order to avoid the lead detective’s gaze–as if they didn’t notice his sudden arrival; when in reality, they were aware of him entering the room.
