IT WAS RAINING hard.
The sound of the rain hitting the wet asphalt, and the loud ringing of police sirens invaded everyone's ears. Just like the detectives said earlier, there wasn’t a day in Creek City that it didn’t rain. However, they didn’t expect that it was something excessive. It was as though there’s a current storm blazing through the city.
Edward stood there under the heavy rain, waiting for Ethan to emerge from the river. A defensive stance on his part, being cautious that if ever Ethan emerged from the water, he might be armed with a weapon that could initially harm the lead detective.
