Him
His name was Brock Paladin. He was a bit of a free-thinking loner who had spent so much time living “under the radar” he no longer remembered what it meant to be “on the grid.”
It was twelve years prior when he’d first been recruited by the CIA. At the time, he was finishing his undergraduate degree in forensic criminology at the University of Virginia. A man approached him. Perhaps it was the degree, the fact that Brock had scored off the charts on the GMAT exam, or something in his background that first alerted the CIA recruiter to seek Brock out. He appeared to be the perfect fit for the role of a covert operative. At any rate, Brock Paladin was literally hunted down by the Company, as the CIA is euphemistically known, and recruited into their training program.
