Chapter 10
Megan and Lucy spent most of their meal discussing the day's events, pondering what could have possibly gone so wrong that their friend ended up in the hospital. Between the two of them, they ran every scenario they could think of, both the plausible and the impractical.
"Well, until Lewis regains consciousness we’re going to have to just piece together what actually happened," said Megan as she wiped the corners of her mouth with a napkin. As usual Susie's food was perfectly cooked and she ate all of it without even realizing it. Lucy nodded in agreement and looked down at her empty plate, too.
"Do we dare have dessert?" she asked.
