Chapter 5 Saturday afternoon, and with little else to do, everyone settled down and watched sport on the television. I wasn’t much of a sport-orientated person, so I curled up in a corner and carried on with the book I had started a few days earlier. I managed to filter out the noise from the TV and the comments the others were making. “Do you want dinner now?” Mark’s voice broke in on my literary daydream. I looked over at the clock. It was a little past five. “Okay, I’ll go see what we’ve got.” “The boys said they’d make something.” “Oh, right,” I said. I could hear the clatter of pots and pans coming from the other room, along with the odd giggle from the chefs. “Boys!” Mark called out. “Get your hands off each other and back onto the food.” They laughed.
