She looked over the horizon, watching the purple sky. The sun was about to meet its end for the day, but a new fight was beginning for her. How was she going to achieve all that she wanted if he left at dusk? But fighting the war was far more prominent at that moment. It would leave nothing to accomplish if the victory was not in favor of Solaris.
"What are you looking at?" A voice came from behind, shocking her. She was not expecting anyone.
"The preparations." She muttered, looking at him with disturbed eyes.
"Why are you sad? Is it for him?" He asked. He could not see her getting tensed for some other man, even if it was his brother. She belonged to only him!
"What will happen next?" She whispered, lowering her head.
She was dubious to deal with her heart and mind's desires. They were constantly at war with each other, with conflicting opinions and wants. The more she spends time in this place, the more she was starting to forget the cause of why she came here. She let herself be too involved in the matters of the palace.
"He must win, or else it will be me next in the line." He sulked.
"I know. So we ensure that palace is supplying timely, adequate ammunition and aid." She demanded. It unsettled him to see her standing for his brother and his army.
He walked over to her and crawled his hand over her narrow waist. Her body stiffened at that. She had not expected him to get this bolder in such a dire situation.
He leaned into the crook of her neck and exhaled her sweet fragrance. She wondered how did she end up in such a messy situation! Her heart was no more in her control.
"Haven't I told you, you are going to be mine in the end?" He said in a hoarse voice, sending a chill down her spine.
