“Alpha, we’ve received word that five vampires have entered the country. They’re heading towards the town,” Justin, Lucian’s beta, informed him.
Lucian’s head snapped up, his gaze leaving the papers scattered on his desk. A deep furrow formed on his brow as he processed the news. Five vampires? Had he heard Justin correctly? It seemed inconceivable.
“Five vampires?” Lucian repeated, disbelief tingeing his voice. He couldn’t fathom why a group of vampires would choose to come here. The majority of supernatural creatures knew of his intense animosity towards vampires, born from the pain they had inflicted upon him and his loved ones.
