Conflicted, Sam looked in confusion at the defiant woman staring back at him in open animosity. Shock was too weak a word to express what he was feeling right now. Once again, he’d made a complete fool of himself over the woman. How could he have believed that last night had meant something to her?
Maybe it was the fact that she’d gifted him her innocence which had greatly misled him, but like she’d said herself giving her virginity was no longer a biggie nowadays. But to hear her confess that she was helping him out of purely selfish motives combust his every cell.
