I wanted to go along with Zane and smash the f*****’s head. The mafia blood that ran in my body started to boil along with my cop heart. After seeing Sam’s nasty situation, I wanted to blow his head off, but Sam said he was dealing with the mafia. If he was with the mafia, he would have enough money. But why then did he need to blackmail Sam for money? Sam was not a wealthy woman nor was her family. They were a middle-class family. According to my knowledge, Sam was not receiving a big salary from Zane’s academy either.
This is a valid point to think about, Cherry. My cop mind pointed it out to me.
“No, Evie. You are not going anywhere.” I snapped out of my chain of thoughts at the sound of Zane’s voice.
