CHAPTER 10 – First meeting
Cherry’s POV
I woke up the next morning to find that it was already almost 8.00 a.m. Last night sleep didn’t come to me until midnight passed. The same matter kept bothering me. I didn’t even know at what time my eyes finally shut. All I remember was that I hugged a pillow tightly and slept. My head was throbbing due to a lack of sleep. I got down from the spring mattress and headed to the bathroom to freshen up.
When I came out, Mrs. Clerk was sitting on the writing desk chair. She looked at me with a lovely bright smile. Based on my observation, even the clothes she wore casually at home were extremely expensive. She always wore a pearl or diamond necklace with a matching bracelet and earrings.
