CHAPTER NINETEEN The camera footage showed nothing except the set itself. And the director had gone out of his way to make sure no one put themselves in the shot. Behind her, Ilse heard the director muttering as the film played again. “See,” he said. “Nothing—now... how much longer are you going to be here?” “You can leave,” Sawyer snapped. “Just leave the trailer.” The director shook his head, pushing through a metal door and stepping back out onto the asphalt. As he departed, the door slowly shut behind him, leaving Ilse and Tom alone once again in the small trailer.
