I finally reached Devlin’s apartment after hours of air and land travel. His driver, Marco, assisted and showed me to his penthouse in Santa Monica. I wasn’t surprised to see the style of his place. Devlin's taste was superior ever since and it reflected in everything surrounding him.
I guess this penthouse unit was part of his investment. It was not near his office. I was a bit surprised when his driver took me to Santa Monica instead of Beverly Hills, where I knew his office was located. He owned several properties and invested a lot in properties. It was only in New York that he didn’t invest at all. I presumed he never envisioned living in that area for a long time.
If I didn’t know the man, I would think that he was some kind of a mafia lord and his vast fortune
