I walked through the crowd of people, trying to juggle all the bags that I had. So far, I went into Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Forever 21, Adidas, and Nike. There was one more store I wanted to go into. Victoria's Secret. But, I was getting hungry, so I decided to go drop the bags, in the trunk of the car, and head back inside to the food court. I was looking down into my phone as I walked, when I bumped into someone. I looked up, and immediately my eyes widened and I took a step back. ".S-Sebastian" I whispered, looking up at my ex-boyfriend in fear. Sebastian King. One of the hottest guys at my school, but also one of the quietest. He was the known loner. Me being me, when I saw him by himself, I decided to befriend him, not knowing how much of a monster he actually was. He asked me to be his girlfriend and I accepted. Everything was going well, but as the months went by, his attitude towards me started to change. He started to become cruel, and that was when the abuse started. He'd verbally assault me, and start to laugh as I cried. He'd try his best to keep me away from my friends, yelling at me, if I were to ever talk to one of them. He began to control everything around me, from the food I as eating, to the clothes that I wore, and I let him do it, because I was too afraid to speak up. One day, I did try though, to speak up, and that was when the physical abuse started. It started being in places where no one would be able to see, like my upper thighs and stomach, before he grew a lot bolder, and left bruises on my face for me to cover up, and I could tell he loved it, as he had this sick, twisted smile on his face, each time he heard me scream in pain. It took me a while to recover from that traumatic, toxic time with him, and even now, it still affects me a little. I know you're probably thinking why I didn't defend myself, or fight him off. To be honest, I loved him, a lot, and I did not want to lose him. At the time, I did not realize that I deserved better, and that he was so toxic for me. It took me a while to leave, and he is also part of the reason that I did not want a mate, or to date anymore men for a long ass while. "Hello Mia." He smirked, his eyes showing all the evil thoughts that went through his mind. He raised his hand to cup my chin, and I flinched, taking another step back. "Are you afraid of me?" He mocked, taking another step closer. "Move one more inch closer to her, and lose your f*****g life." A familiar voice growled behind me. We both turned toward the voice and I was semi-relieved and semi-scared, as I saw Rafe standing there with black eyes. I quickly ran over to him, and he pulled me behind his back, blocking me from Sebastian's view. I peeked around him, to see Sebastian staring up at him wit a mixture of annoyance, and something close to fear. "Who the f**k are you?" Sebastian asked, narrowing his eyes at Rafe. "Your worst f*****g nightmare. Now I suggest that you get the f**k out of here, before I beat your ass to bloody pulp." Rafe's voice got deeper than before, signaling that his wolf was really close to the surface. Sebastian, knowing better than to pick a fight with someone bigger than him, walked away from us. Rafe turned to me, his eyes blazing in fury. He wrapped his arm round my waist tightly, pulling me into him. A/N:( Safe to read from here.) "Are you okay?" He asked quietly, surprising me. I was actually shocked that he asked me if I was okay, and not berating memoir leaving home without telling him. "Yeah, I'm fine." I mumbled, looking up at him. He sighed, moving his arms from around me and taking a hold of my shopping bags. "You're in big f*****g trouble, Mia. I told you to tell me when you're leaving home. What would have happened if I did not step in when I did?" He scolded me softly. "I'm sorry." I murmured. "Who the f**k was that guy anyways?" He asked. "A stranger." I shrugged, not wanting to answer. He glared at me, and I looked away. He sighed, taking my hand in his, and we walked to the car in silence. I unlocked the car, and he put the bags in the trunk, slamming it close, before getting on the passenger side. I started the car, and before I could shift the gear into reverse, Rafe pulled my face in his direction. "I know you're hiding something from me Mia, and I need to know what it is. When we get home, I want you up in the bedroom, sitting on the bed, waiting for me." He said. I pulled my face from his hand, shifting the gear into reverse, and backing out of the parking lot. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When we got home, I left Rafe taking the bags out of the trunk, and quickly went up to my bedroom, straight into my closet. I love my room because I have a secret hideout, that no one really knows about. The only persons that knows about it really is Sophie, Ryder, Ryker, and my parents. I pulled back some racks, typing in a code on the keypad that I had, before sliding the door open, and and stepping inside the room. I pulled the clothes back into place, before sliding the door closed, automatically locking it. The thing I loved about this particular hideout is that it had two floors. Upstairs is a study room, which consists of a huge wooden desk, a big, comfy office chair, which I had custom made, 3 floor to ceiling shelves, filled with books, and a lounge chair, with a small side table next to it. The downstairs had a small kitchen, which had a microwave and fridge. Since I don't really cook much, I had no need for a stove up here. The freezer side of the fridge had microwavable dinners, frozen pizzas and hot pockets for those days I didn't want to be alone, and needed something to eat. The cabinets were filled of booze and snacks. The fridge was stocked with beers, sodas, juice and bottles of water. The downstairs also had a huge sectional, with a glass coffee table in front of it and a huge 65'' inch flat screen TV in front of it. I also made sure that the entire room was sound proof, so no one would be able to hear me. There was also a bathroom off the side of the kitchen, so I wouldn't have to go outside of this room. It makes a good panic room. I sighed, throwing myself onto the couch and taking off my heels. I heard my phone, and I looked at it to see my five messages from Rafe, and One from Sophie. I opened the one from Sophie. Babe I've been trying to mind link you for the past two hours. You said you were coming to the pack house. Where are you?- S I'm in a sort of situation here, but I need to talk to you, really badly. Do you think you can make it up to my hideout without Rafe seeing you? - M Yes, I can. I'll just make a distraction. See you in 15. - S I shut my phone off and sat there, waiting for her. Soon, I heard the door slide, and Sophie walked in, sitting next to me. "What's wrong?" She asked, seeing the look on my face. Sebastian is back." Her eyes widened and she quickly pulled me into a hug. "I'm so sorry Mia. What happened?" So I began telling her from the beginning, omitting the part where Rafe spanked me and fingered me. "You have to tell Rafe what happened between you and Sebastian, Mia. So he can protect you." "I know, but I'm not ready to open up that box yet, because we both know s**t will hit the fan then."I mumbled, causing her to nod. "You need to tell him sooner rather than later though." I sighed, laying my head on her lap, letting her comb her fingers through my hair and I slowly began to drift off to sleep. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two hours later: I slowly opened my eyes and looked at Sophie, seeing her still asleep. I felt around for my phone, looking at the time, and my eyes bulged out of my head. Shit. Rafe was going to f*****g kill me! I quickly jumped off the couch, causing Sophie to groan and look at me. "What's wrong?" She asked. "Girl, we've been up for the past three hours! Rafe is gonna f*****g kill me!" I whined, causing her to laugh. I glared at her, and she held her hands up. "I'm going back to sleep. Come back here when you talk to him." She said, turning her back to me. "Fat chance of that. And some friend you are! You're leaving me to deal with the devil alone." I pouted. She snorted and I huffed, making my way to the door. I slid it open quietly, after typing in the code, moving the racks and closing it behind me. I put the clothes back in place, and walked back out into the bedroom, where Rafe was holding his head. His head snapped up as soon as he felt my presence in the room and he stood up immediately, the anger in his eyes making me want to s**t my pants. "Where the f**k were you?" I laughed nervously as he stalked towards me, making me step back and I muttered some curses, as my back hit the wall. He stood, towering over me as I craned my neck to look at him properly. "Didn't I tell you that I f*****g wanted you here so we could talk?!" His loud voice made me jump, and I nodded. "So. Where. The. f**k. Were. You?" I opened my mouth to answer, at the same time someone yelled. "Rogues!!"
