CHAPTER TWOThe Viscount drove on further before he turned and asked Salvia, “Have you any money? There was a suspicious silence. Then Salvia said in a shy voice, “I am afraid that you will be rather shocked, but all I have with me is – seven pounds.” “Seven pounds!” the Viscount exclaimed. “You see my uncle gives me ten shillings a week pocket money.
