Z could hear scuffing, someone was pacing, or walking in circles. He felt a breeze but also heat coming from one source. Cracking his eyes open, he heard talking, but all the could see was blurs moving around in front of a bright light.
He raised his hand slowly to try and rub them clear, but the pull on his stab wounds made him cry out and clench his teeth until his arm was back to resting at his side.
"You're awake." He heard Lia's voice and tipped his chin up as she sat up from the opposite side of the light. "Don't move. I can't heal you too fast. There isn't enough water and he hurt you pretty bad." She touched his forehead and sighed. "You still have a fever."
