Lia gave up on getting all the caked up mud off her legs and shoes. They had barely made it to flat land before dark, so the twins made a fire, and thankfully the rain had long since stopped, the mud was comfortable to sleep on but made all of their blankets messy.
They would have to find a real water source to clean them off before the next night. Lia and Roxy made that their mission, even when the boys made fun of them for being too girly to sleep in mud they made a point of saying they would rather not get sick with dirty and slightly damp blankets the next night.
