Three months. It took three months for things to get back as close to normal as what Sean used to know. The college was re-opened, the basketball team began to practice, and Jonah—he got better. The lecture room door cracked open and Sean looked at it involuntarily, simply because Jonah had shifted his eyes in its direction, too. Jeremy stepped in, and Sean quickly glanced back to Jonah and felt his blood curdle as he recognized something in Jonah’s eyes. Longing. Affection. Sean knew Jonah had crushed on the campus magazine’s chief editor for so long, and, despite everything, he secretly wanted to see how Jeremy would act toward Jonah now. “Hi, Jonah.” Jeremy smiled sweetly at the boy.
