"Pa? Did you and Allistar execute Wanda and Donald?"
The two men looked at me in puzzlement, wondering why I would question them on this as they had said they were going to do just that.
"We did, why?" responded Pa. "We executed Donald first, then Wanda. The minute she died, Bram Drago collapsed, screaming in pain and clutching his chest. His mate mark was on her, and hers on him. Again, why do you ask?"
Uncle George and I exchanged glances before I answered Pa's question. "Naomi Saunders is supposedly mated to Donald Saunders. At least, that is what was told to the pack doctor and other hospital staff. When he died, she should have been affected, but she has shown no pain of any kind. So they can't have been fated mates. And if chosen mates, they can't yet marked or mated each other."
