~LUCAS~ I can feel the tension between Avery and me as I walk her to her room. Nathan left us to inform her other brothers that he had gotten her home safely. Luckily, Gideon was preoccupied and hadn't noticed us returning. I was worried about him seeing us, but now I could put those worries behind me. She was home, and I managed to bring her back without any issues. I didn't know how to explain it, but it made me feel good inside, knowing that I was able to do at least one thing for her sake. So far, I haven't done anything but bring her pain, and it was eating me up inside. I was glad that we had gotten her home safely, and I didn't need to worry about Gideon giving me another reason to want to kill him. I knew that if he even tried to punish his daughter, I would do everything in
