“Son!” Liam’s father gaped and Liam looked at his legs. His fur was pitch black, but he was expecting that. His hair was black, so he frowned at his parents. Tears filled his mother’s eyes before she shoved her face into his father’s neck and Liam couldn’t understand what was going on. “What’s wrong? What did I do?” Fear gripped his heart as he quickly shifted back to his human form. “I …” His father hesitated. “I believe you might be the missing prince.” Liam’s world spun out of control the moment his father said the words. He couldn’t understand it. They had joked through the years about his eyes being the same colour as that of the king, but none of them ever believed he could be the prince. They walked into their small farm home and his parents told him how they found him abandoned
